'cause they still make the games we (I) enjoy?
I don't have a problem with modders making things for games, oftentimes they do amazing jobs. Like for example...the games Forgotten City and Enderal were made (especially the latter) in Skyrim, and though I've yet to play any of them I hear they get praising reviews.
See, I understand what you're saying but I (and many others here) still love the games BioWare makes...even if modders have to fix/change the things they can't/won't That sounds like the excuses against Bethesda that lead to Fallout 76. Bio seems to be taking a page from Bethesda's playbook. Wonder how long it'll be till Bio says "it just works".

Well, they are already taking a page of all the behaviors from Bethesda in abandoning game support: ME 3 unresolved glitches and bugs, ME Andromeda, Anthem (it initially sold well but Bioware applied it's not bothering with support after x amount of time passes on a live service product) and now MELE.

Is there a way to add a scar to a head morph in the Trilogy Save Editor? might this be something you can use? link

might this be something you can use? link Unfortunately, I can't use this with my PlayStation save. I'm not playing MELE on PC. The save editor supports PS saves, but that's as far as I can go. ah, I see... I only play on pc so I can't help with that either...I'm still a bit salty they didn't just put that in for the LE, I mean...they advertised "united CC across all 3 games" ...they should've just added the scars as well, I know I know "Lazarus project fixes the scars" but I'm still salty

For example, let's take Zaeed who's face is covered in scars and even has a replacement eye for the one he lost, if you take those away he's a whole different character

It's strange that I can remove weapons I don't particularly need in ME1LE (meaning you see more of Shep's back) using the Trilogy Save Editor, yet I'm having trouble removing the heavy weapon off of my Shep's back, leaving only a Shotgun and SMG in ME2LE using the same editor. I literally remove it from the loadout in RAW Data, but it's still on her back. WTF.

Haven't had this problem and have installed a fair few mods in ME1. Unfortunately I haven't used those mods you referenced above. It is possible for certain mods to conflict with others so it might be worth disabling some of the mods and testing to try and narrow down were the issue may lie. I would suggest also looking at each of the pages above, namely change log and any discussions on those pages as that may shed some light. At the very least you could raise it to the original Modder so they can take a look and try and debug their end

LE3 Community Patch v1.3 just dropped on 12 Oct, it fixes some bugs in v1.2, plus some additional base game bug fixes and …
Includes in-game mod menu to toggle mod effects on/off, without toggling mods via ME3Tweaks prior to boot (might require rebooting game).
A guess … this capability might be in the next update to LE1 Community Patch (+Framework) and eventual LE2 Community Patch+Framework.
Note 1: small ME3Tweaks update was made 7 Oct, you will be offered the update when you open the mod manager (no new file to download).
Note 2: on 13 Oct, both the FISH and Conrad No Apologies mods were updated to be compatible with the Community Patch (and each other).
Note 3: LE1 Community Patch v1.1 released on 13 Oct, it did not include a Community Framework mod, but did add more base game fixes.

Most of the mods that I see on Nexus are either the usual skins, more skins, skins and skins, or what I'd class as 'cheat mods' that change or remove core gameplay elements.
No major interest in any of that and I'm just holding out for MEHEM. I refuse to play ME:3 without MEHEM, so there! *toddler tantrum face*

So I have a question for the modders, I ran into this comment and I wanted to see how true to reality it is, I don't have anything against modders, just the company who seems to think you are free labor and correct me if I am wrong:
"No, I'm not in charge of the tools we use, so I only saw correspondence as a third wheel, and the BioWare reps stopped appearing in our chats when the project was closed at around July this year. But some of the tool developers still talk to them privately. So I did get to see the shock on their "face" when they realized 3-hit melees were accidentally missing in Legendary Edition Mass Effect 3. A feature that will never be added back at least on consoles. It was clear that the reason he couldn't push to get it fixed is because their QA department only had room to address "critical" bugs, i.e. actual game crashes and other serious problems. Unfortunately an ugly save glitch is still stuck in the PlayStation ports where random plot flags and values are truncated in rare instances of saving. That will never be fixed. The initial correspondence was allegedly by accident, because someone said they worked with modders but we had not heard a word. We contacted them because of that, and they owned up to it by actually collaborating directly after that point. We now have details like all their entire "StoryManager" plot table, which means we know what every single plot flag in the trilogy means, which means we have much more clarity about plot-branching issues and how to fix them, and the ability to create story-driven mods that depend on official choices you make in the core game. But the bottom line is: The reason we are even able to release mods today for Legendary Edition is because the toolset developers worked directly with BioWare to know how the game works under the hood. If BioWare hadn't done that, there wouldn't even be a sprawling mod community for Legendary Edition in 2021."

Update (as of 5 Nov) for the LE3 Community Patch and Framework … to version 1.4 with a bunch of base game bug fixes, plus some mod fixes.
A Community Patch for LE2 is in the works, but not yet ready … a fix to the Hammerhead sound bug is out … which will be part of the LE2 CP.

Pinnacle Station mod got an update yesterday (9 Nov), now version 1.0.1 … probably the biggest change, optimization rolled the recommended GPU back an entire generation (GTX 1070 GTX for nvidia vs RTX 2070) … so more folks should have a decent experience with the mod.
Other updates as well, such as more complete localization.
The blog post talking about how the mod came about is worth a read. It's pretty long, but Mgamerz explains why the modders could recreate/port a game file with their mod tools, but without source code, the folks at BioWare and their contract support were left high and dry.
The mod started out just creating the apartment for Shepard … then it took off from there. Again, while it is a long read, the post really is quite interesting (well, at least for me).
