EU laws are great, but even then, the LE sold around 500k in the rest of the world, outside of the US, and out of those 500k, the amount that will ask for a refund will be around 10k. Bioware doesn't give at shit. It will cost them 600k and the game made ~$90m.

10k people asking for a refund might be the ball that gets more into motion, we shall see what happens.

There is a patch for the game, it'[s only for PC as you'll need a MOD installer from Nexus and it still has issues that need fixing but it's more than what Bioware will likely do oh, modders did it for free: www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/13

According to a modder in the Mass Effect Modding Discord Bioware contacted the groups of modders two months before release, seems about right for the company as they likely though they could apply their Bioware magic and incorporate the fixes in time if true.

I posted this in the ME LE Discussion thread and the video might explain their silence on the multiple bugs PC modders are fixing for free (most of them again): " I ran into a video of the Mass Effect 3 developers (some apparently still work at Bioware) and they are speaking of the ME3 ending and well, look it up yourself and tell me what you think. Some don't want to touch the ending topic at all, others offered different takes, some are still mad that they had to do the Extended Cut under crunch after developing the game under crunch, etc. The video host does point out that the expectations of development and crunch would mean that the promised product would never be delivered, the comments are also split (there is no question that the pushback from fans got ugly, but that doesn't excuse a rushed product and it is on EA and your leadership who you should be blaming as well your over reacted consumers):"

Please let this message be fake, not even Bethesda or CD Projekt Red are capable of doing this and at least they have admitted to us that they messed up hard as well the creators of No Man Sky: "No, I'm not in charge of the tools we use, so I only saw correspondence as a third wheel, and the BioWare reps stopped appearing in our chats when the project was closed at around July this year. But some of the tool developers still talk to them privately. So I did get to see the shock on their "face" when they realized 3-hit melees were accidentally missing in Legendary Edition Mass Effect 3. A feature that will never be added back at least on consoles. It was clear that the reason he couldn't push to get it fixed is because their QA department only had room to address "critical" bugs, i.e. actual game crashes and other serious problems. Unfortunately an ugly save glitch is still stuck in the PlayStation ports where random plot flags and values are truncated in rare instances of saving. That will never be fixed.
The initial correspondence was allegedly by accident, because someone said they worked with modders but we had not heard a word. We contacted them because of that, and they owned up to it by actually collaborating directly after that point. We now have details like all their entire "StoryManager" plot table, which means we know what every single plot flag in the trilogy means, which means we have much more clarity about plot-branching issues and how to fix them, and the ability to create story-driven mods that depend on official choices you make in the core game.
But the bottom line is: The reason we are even able to release mods today for Legendary Edition is because the toolset developers worked directly with BioWare to know how the game works under the hood. If BioWare hadn't done that, there wouldn't even be a sprawling mod community for Legendary Edition in 2021."

Well, this just happened in the Answers HQ Thread titled "New patches soon?" "Hey folks, This particular thread has about run its course as it's really just come down to a few talking points being repeated over and over as well as bringing in other side topics that aren't really related to the original thread. At this time I'm not aware of any plans for additional patches, however if there's any new information to share we'll be sure to do so. It's far too soon to have any details on what differences there could be in support for a brand new title as compared to a remaster, however once there's actual concrete information to discuss on either front that's more than welcome. For now I'll be closing this thread until there's something new to discuss on this particular front. Thanks for the many pages of feedback and discussion everyone, and feel free to continue the other points of discussion in the more dedicated threads." +XP: 184 (the one who found this comment useful is apperantly one user and goes by the name ( No harassment against anyone will be tolerated EA AHQ_Official, one of the community managers) Modders have been using the Answers HQ and other places to catalogue the issues players have, but go on, keep giving Bioware your money and hype: answers.ea.com/t5/Mass-Effect-Legendary-Edition/New-patch/m-p/10936777#M13698This is after the fact that I commented: "Modders have so far: -recovered Pinnacle Station DLC in 3 months work time using their own tools (which 3 studios couldn't do with studio level tools): www.me3tweaks.com/blog/modding/porting-pinnacle-station-forward-11-years/-made a community which will arrive sometime later that fixes: the Stasis bonus power not being awarded if you invite Liara after Shadow Broker, fixed the Romances which are done after Collector Base Assault (I was told that was a non gameplay issue and to not expect it to be fixed and that PS works as intended) apparently allowing to earn that trophy/achievement post ending, multiple other issues. Bioware can release the next ME game exclusively on PC for all I care, it isn't hobbyist job to take time out of their free time and fix multiple game breaking, and some not game breaking, bugs and glitches but rather the developers and if this is how they will treat loyal consumers overtaken by hype then it will be the same thing on the new game. @ea_Mako sorry, you and other moderators are doing a wonderful job but I as a consumer can't and won't recommend any Bioware game unless the person I am recommending it to has a gaming PC to download MOD's. 2/3 of the market don't matter to Bioware and it is a shame that people are falling to the same traps with the new game announcements, they haven't learn anything." Again, No harassment will be tolerated. So only look at users ID and move on, express yourselves with your wallets.

If Bioware wants to collapse into of itself then so be it, RIP Mass Effect series, you deserved a better fanbase who never see fault in you. I will keep posting my LE journeys and discussing about what we see in new teaser scrapes Bioware sends us, have a nice day.

The modders have done a great job. Awesome. Even when you see the long list of bugs that they have fixed, there are still users who respond with "I don't see any bugs" and "I don't have problems". Assume that they indeed feel that way then it is nonsense to post about it, with the intention of downplaying the problems. The truth is that these bugs existed and the proof is the Unofficial Patch. I am not sure if they realize it, but that attitude hurts the games and gamers, but I am unwilling to start another rant about the apologists. lordmoral: Thanks for keeping us informed.

Thanks and your welcome and I will update this thread in the event new information comes up, I remember when Cyberpunk 2077 came out that there were people saying there weren't any bugs as they haven't experienced any. "It is easier to trick people than people realizing they have been tricked" and "People will still behave as if they are right even when they know they have been wrong for 10 years because they do not want to face the fact they were living in a lie." I found those two quotes online and they seem pertinent in this case.

Hello, Bioware new President gave his statement and while many are praising it as a good sign of bioware transparency (and going after people like me who point put they are turning a blind eye and deaf ear approach to the bugs and glitches) I can't help but fear that this cement my concerns about the potential way they are handling the new games: blog.bioware.com/2022/01/06/state-of-bioware/The following quotes stood out: "Even with the challenges of the pandemic, we saw some earlier success with the incredible reception to the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition in May. From the press to our fans, the feedback has been insanely positive. We’re so proud to have released one of the highest-rated games on console, and the reception really underscores the value of striving for excellence and quality in every element of a game." "When I took on the GM role, I talked about rebuilding our reputation, and that remains a huge priority. We are laser-focused on building back the trust of our fans and community, and we plan to do that by delivering the types of games that we are best known for and ensuring they are of the highest quality. Our mission is to “Create worlds of adventure, conflict, and companionship that inspire you to become the hero of your story.” We want the launch of our games to be seminal moments in the industry. We want each game to earn the kind of reaction we’ve seen with Mass Effect Legendary Edition. We feel that we have the right people, the right creative focus, and the support from EA to deliver on the promise. One of my favorite quotes from 2021 comes from GameSpot’s Games of the Year roundup, and I think it illustrates that we’re moving in the right direction: “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is a gargantuan reminder of just how good developer BioWare is when it’s firing on all cylinders.” Yay for the future of Bioware.

I haven't played this game but, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is lucky it was more solid and counted with a massive nostalgia factor that carried word of mouth as it carried over the old bugs and glitches from the original release as well how modders are still busting their backs fixing the game. I should not have to install a MOD to get the various damaged lines from Ashley Williams, one example but that resonates as in the 3rd game her character was butchered: www.gameinformer.com/2022/02/08/battlefield-2042-refund-petition-passes-25000-signatures
