New Patch?

10k people asking for a refund might be the ball that gets more into motion, we shall see what happens.

According to a modder in the Mass Effect Modding Discord Bioware contacted the groups of modders two months before release, seems about right for the company as they likely though they could apply their Bioware magic and incorporate the fixes in time if true.

I posted this in the ME LE Discussion thread and the video might explain their silence on the multiple bugs PC modders are fixing for free (most of them again):

Some don't want to touch the ending topic at all, others offered different takes, some are still mad that they had to do the Extended Cut under crunch after developing the game under crunch, etc. The video host does point out that the expectations of development and crunch would mean that the promised product would never be delivered, the comments are also split (there is no question that the pushback from fans got ugly, but that doesn't excuse a rushed product and it is on EA and your leadership who you should be blaming as well your over reacted consumers):"

This particular thread has about run its course as it's really just come down to a few talking points being repeated over and over as well as bringing in other side topics that aren't really related to the original thread.

At this time I'm not aware of any plans for additional patches, however if there's any new information to share we'll be sure to do so.

It's far too soon to have any details on what differences there could be in support for a brand new title as compared to a remaster, however once there's actual concrete information to discuss on either front that's more than welcome.

Modders have been using the Answers HQ and other places to catalogue the issues players have, but go on, keep giving Bioware your money and hype:

-recovered Pinnacle Station DLC in 3 months work time using their own tools (which 3 studios couldn't do with studio level tools):

-made a community which will arrive sometime later that fixes: the Stasis bonus power not being awarded if you invite Liara after Shadow Broker, fixed the Romances which are done after Collector Base Assault (I was told that was a non gameplay issue and to not expect it to be fixed and that PS works as intended) apparently allowing to earn that trophy/achievement post ending, multiple other issues.

Bioware can release the next ME game exclusively on PC for all I care, it isn't hobbyist job to take time out of their free time and fix multiple game breaking, and some not game breaking, bugs and glitches but rather the developers and if this is how they will treat loyal consumers overtaken by hype then it will be the same thing on the new game.
@ea_Mako sorry, you and other moderators are doing a wonderful job but I as a consumer can't and won't recommend any Bioware game unless the person I am recommending it to has a gaming PC to download MOD's. 2/3 of the market don't matter to Bioware and it is a shame that people are falling to the same traps with the new game announcements, they haven't learn anything."

Thanks and your welcome and I will update this thread in the event new information comes up, I remember when Cyberpunk 2077 came out that there were people saying there weren't any bugs as they haven't experienced any.

"It is easier to trick people than people realizing they have been tricked" and "People will still behave as if they are right even when they know they have been wrong for 10 years because they do not want to face the fact they were living in a lie."

I found those two quotes online and they seem pertinent in this case.

Hello, Bioware new President gave his statement and while many are praising it as a good sign of bioware transparency (and going after people like me who point put they are turning a blind eye and deaf ear approach to the bugs and glitches) I can't help but fear that this cement my concerns about the potential way they are handling the new games:

One of my favorite quotes from 2021 comes from GameSpot’s Games of the Year roundup, and I think it illustrates that we’re moving in the right direction: “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is a gargantuan reminder of just how good developer BioWare is when it’s firing on all cylinders.”
