Favorite alien species.

Oh yes the Geth!  I knew I forgot someone.  I like them too in part because of Legion.  Did not like them in ME1 because they were trying to kill me.  But Tali and Legion made me more sympathetic to their plight.

The Volus!  Another species I forgot.  I should have added an "Other" choice.  But yeah I like them too.  Barla Von and Din Korlack are two of my favorites.

The volus are like the Rodney Dangerfield of alien races they get no respect, but i'll go with the krogan this time around.

Angara/Asari/Geth

I have a very hard time picking between turians, krogan and salarians. All three are fantastic. Chose turians for the poll because their appearance and demeaner is just the most badass ... and they got Garrus.
But really, krogan and salarians are pretty much on par. Krogan just have one of the best and nuanced backstories of pretty much any scifi alien race I know and salarians, well, they are awesome.

Asari get second place for sexiness.

Batarians could have been great but were underutilized unfortunately IMO. They had much more potential for great storytelling with them being basically rivals of humanity that were screwed over politically and turned to terrorism and always had fascist tendencies in their government. Fantastic shades of grey there but unfortunately, too often they were just shown as pretty straight forward villains.

Never was a big fan of the quarians. They are a bit too trope-y IMO.

Hanar, volus, drell and all the rest have really played more of a backdrop role so far. They lack the in depth characterization to really compete well with the major races. Hope we'll get more insights in the future.

Salarians. I pretty much like all of them outside of the Mercenary types like Jarroth.

You've got stand out like Mordin, Paddok,and Kirrahe.

I even like the NPC ones like the ones on their homeworld, and the numerous ones in Thane's recruitment mission. Even my cold heart feels all warm and fuzzy when you save that dying Salarian. Then he sends you a thank you message on top of telling you he is buying himself new clothes because he has a new perspective on life.

Bau is pretty cool too.

Hanar, always good to see interesting non humanoid aliens.
I do like the Asari too, with their mono gender and way they reproduce.
Then third probably the elcor, which are another interesting in their alien ness.

Keep in mind to hide the xeno files on your computer. I know that Inquistors are a pain in the ass to deal with. We both know that you are not an heretic but a dedicated researcher to find proper heresy. 

Well, there's a chemical compound that I've been working on that makes asari crap out their guts, turians explode and salarians that burst into flames.

Wouldn't want anyone else claiming credit for that now do we? 😉😈

Well true and One of the Researchers did fall to Heresy by becoming a devoted member of Nurgle by doing that. So becareful, Nurge has several plagues of all stripes and all of them are nightmare fuel

If there were more information about the Geth or Rachni, and their actual societies available I would put those two in the first places.

As it is, I vote for Salarians > Krogan >> Geth.

Salarians so far have all been entertaining
Krogan went from a horde mentality to extreme individualism. I mean, have you ever seen a group of them agree on anything? Plus they are just the better Klingons - Klingons have better music, though
