Outside of Human, What Alien Species do you want to see for Player Character

Well another idea of mine is Krogan Berserker starting at Tuchanka and going their rites of passage and traveling the galaxy. Of course, headbutting all things is a must for this Krogan Berserker. So many of his Renegades interrupt prompts does involve him threatening to headbutt or headbutting the Fool. the other times is threatening to eat them.

I am guessing that bioware would start off with the 3 original council races, if nothing else they are naturally tailored from a lore perspective to the 3 main archetypes of combat(turians), tech (salarians) and biotic (asari).

I don't. Maybe if it is exclusively as a X it would be fine but multiple race options is never done well.

One of my ideas for Turian C-Sec Detective after the Serial Killer Debacle, he re upps with the Turian Military. Well He had an chapter where you get to see the Fall of Palaven in full and he sees his homeworld gets blown up by the Reapers. Well Dutch one of my villains was leading the Assault on the Turian C-Sec Detective's platoon that was securing a prison near Palaven.

At this point any species other than human would be a thrilling change, but if I had to rank my favorites... Turian, Krogan and Geth (not gonna happen, but I gotta put it there because I like them) are my top three, Asari, and then Salarian and the rest of the races.

Never been a big fan of the human-centric theme of the trilogy. From a moral standpoint I'm a "what's right must be right by all living things, or it's not right". So, whatever my species may be, objectively I have to recognize that everyone else is just as valid, and ME3 really doesn't take that route. Logically speaking, Earth would have been sacrificed to concentrate forces on planets that had a better chance of survival, rather than demanding the species of those planets come save yours, 'cause humans and stuff, when the opening of the game makes Earth look like an unmitigated slaughter. I'm wildly digressing from the topic though.

This thread comes back every now and then, and I would always have a different opinion. But thing is, do we need a different race to play as?

See, mythology has been around for some time, so Dragon Age can actually benefit from let's write Dwarves or elves. But alien races? That's hard as hell. Writing humans is more complex because it's something we can actually relate a bit more going to a sci-fi scenario that we go through the dillemas and every single RPG element out there, from talking to how to act.

Sure, there's a whole Codex and backstory, but there's that one thing that wouldn't work, because it's not how that race would act. As a human, it lets you explore different paths because... well, because humans are like that, just like Samara, Mordin and many other characters through Mass Effect have described them, with different opinions and ways to act.
