The OG - bsn.boards.net/thread/19714/forget-me-notsWhat game (or game series) would you love to be able to forget completely, for the sole purpose of enjoying blind for the first, again? You can state a series as well as an individual game from outside that series, if you like. ***** For me, the series is Dragon Age, easily. The individual game is harder, but I think it's between The Witcher 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2. And maybe Bloodlines 1.

Hmm, this is a tough one I've played many good games. If I had to pick a series it would be 'The Legacy of Kain.' As for individual games 'Planescape: Torment' or 'VTM Bloodlines 1.'

Well, Mass Effect, easily. Would also be cool to play it all in one go now - without years and countless replays between the games and a thousand ways to imagine how the story might turn out - just go with the flow. They really need to invent the flashy thing from MIB, just for that.

As someone who experienced the MET for the first time in such a way, I can definitely recommend it. Let's just say my perspective on certain...controversies...are not in line with commonly accepted wisdom here. And I think that stems, at least in part, from the fact that I rolled straight out of one, into the next. It was one game, with three chapters in my experience.

Probably Baldur's Gate but Ocarina of Time was pretty fun back in the day.
If I could replicate a multiplayer match I'd hands down go back to World of Warcraft PvP. A rated Eye of the Storm we won by seconds because Sizzo our Hunter, dropped an explosive trap on the steps the enemy flag carrier was running up to score the goal that would've won them the match. Was neck and neck the entire time.
We won because the enemy FC got punted back down those steps and couldn't get up in time. Closest game of my life and you should've heard Skype blow up.
I was right on that flag carriers ass and saw it all first hand. That whole match was epic.

Other than the obvious... Well, maybe Kingdom Come, and Wasteland 2? Great games, both.
Probably some others I can't actually remember off the top of my head, so... time to replay them when I do?

If we could mention more games I would like to add to those I already mentioned like KOTOR 1, Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas. Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect Trilogy, Telltale's The Walking Dead Season One, Metal Gear Solid 1, Resident Evil 1 and 2, and Silent Hill 1. If I remember more I'll add them. I first played the Mass Effect Trilogy when the Legendary Edition released a couple of months before you, and I too hold the same sentiment. I played them back to back to back and loved every minute of it. I even enjoyed ME3 and had no problem with the endings. Sheesh. You kills thousands of potentially feeling members of a robotic hive mind and nobody bats an eye. You hand one self aware bot over to an evil corpo empire and everyone loses their minds. It's funny I have terrible memory and every time I see you post I remember you gave Legion to Cerberus lol.

I suppose the easy answer is picking games you really enjoy. For me that is Witcher 3, Mass Effect 1, Fallout New Vegas, and System Shock 2. If anything though, I have more appreciation for TW3 now than I did when I first played it, and I already had my "like I never played it before" moment with ME1 a couple year ago. And I didn't even need a Men in Black mind wipe to do it. Basically the few times I had played ME1 post ME3, I had fallen into a rut of being a generic Paragon all the time. I had a copy of ME1 for the PS3 that I'd never played and felt like doing some trophy hunting, planned all my playthoughs out for trophy purposes and had a blast. In the midst of my playthroughs I discovered or I suppose rediscovered this speech from the Council, I just love it! Shepard's actions cemented all there ignorant beliefs about humanity but they don't care anymore. Haha. To answer the question of thread, I'm going with ME2, though for different reasons than you'd expect. At one point it was not only my favourite Mass Effect game but probably my favourite game period. These days I have a much harder time playing it, I think because what the game has going for it is the characters and not much else, and those characters moments are largely burned into my brain. I'd love to experience the game again free of that.

Mass Effect, obviously.
KotOR 2 TSL, if it was with my custom TSLRP/TSLRCM hybrid that I made off of a version Darth Stoney built for me.

Just wish it didn't end in a cliffhanger. I still cling to the slightest hope that they will shit-can TOR and make a canon KotOR 3 that actually wraps up the trilogy as it should have been done. Nuke the Revan novel as well, hell you can get Drew to right something better than the garbage he gave us, or please just give it to Filoni and Favreau.

I feel the same way about both this game and the Warcraft rts series. For both series' still hope that one day they will make both of their mmo's non-canon, and give us proper sequels for both series'.
As for Favreau and Filoni, I saw a couple of seasons of Filoni's The Clone Wars, but I have not seen The Mandalorian, since I've been boycotting Disney since The Last Jedi was released. Did not like how they let employees from Lucas Films talk down to long time fans.

This has cut my prospective employment nearly in half. Those two, however, are real fans like we are and do their best to make a quality product representative of their passion in the product.

Yes, you're right. I've heard nothing but good things about The Mandalorian, and I heard the last season of The Clone Wars by Filoni for Disney was really well done. But the way Disney let employees from Lucas Films talk down to their fans, and then you had Rian Johnson who directed The Last Jedi talk down to his critics, and the funny thing is the crowd that the studio and Disney cater to didn't go see the movies or buy any of the merchandise. But Favreau and Filoni I like. Those two need to take over Lucas Films, but I know it won't happen anytime soon.
