It appears someone tried to make her look like Cassandra?? I'd never considered that but you could be right. Anyway, if Harding is going to be in DA:D at least her design should be the same as we are familiar with from DAI regardless of how they mess up her appearance in the comic.

When the duo finds themselves face-to-face with a pair of Veil Jumpers, WTF is that? I suppose technically the Herald was a veil jumper, although we only did it the once and involuntarily. So, is this a new class of mage or another group of ancient elves? Will one of these veil jumpers end up being a companion? If veil jumper is a thing, does that mean Solas can do it? Varric, and Harding travel to Arlathan Forest in search of the crucious stone. Another new ancient artifact I presume. With everything that has happened in the various comic series, Netflix series and short stories, will anything interesting be left for our hero to do in game? It reminds me of the War Table missions in DAI that often sounded a lot more interesting than the tasks we got involved in, particularly outside of the main plot.

I wonder if "Veil Jumper" will be a comic-only group or are we looking at a potential spec in DA:D?

I wonder if "Veil Jumper" will be a comic-only group or are we looking at a potential spec in DA:D? With Varric being in it and Solas being mentioned if nothing else I expect the comics will be setting up a lot of stuff for DA:D.

I wonder if "Veil Jumper" will be a comic-only group or are we looking at a potential spec in DA:D? That's what I was wondering. Normally I'd tend towards the former but it did say this comic series feeds directly into the game, which suggests that at least some part of it will cross over into our plot. It could be the artifact or the specialism, or both. At least it seems like Arlathan Forest will feature in game. I wonder if the crucious stone has any connection with the floating landscape featured in some of the concept art.

my first thought was these guys The question is whether they are just regular ancient elves or connected with the Executors. Probably the latter, which might explain them having a new, previously unheard of magic. However, there are some spells we were able to use in DAI that are connected with phasing in and out of the Fade, which could be incorporated into a Veil Jumper specialism. Fade Step (from the Winter set of spells): You let invisible waves of magic carry you forward, blurring ahead a short distance. Could be upgraded with: Frost Step: Passing through enemies hurts them and leaves them chilled. (300% weapon damage) and Energizing Step: Each time you pass through an enemy with Fade Step, you gain mana. (25% gain) Fade Cloak: (from Knight Enchanter) You surround yourself with the magic of the Veil itself. You are briefly invulnerable and can pass through enemies unharmed. Could be upgraded with De-cloaking Blast: If you rematerialize inside an enemy, the foe is blasted back with massive force. (1000% weapon damage) Both these spells could be found in the multi-player Arcane Warrior spec. So it is easy enough to see how Veil Jumper could be another related specialism, possibly connected with archery. I've long thought of that figure as an Arcane Archer, which would be a rogue/mage hybrid in much the same way as Arcane Warrior is a Warrior/Mage hybrid but Veil Jumper could be an alternative title. It is also possible that a Veil Jumper has special tattoos, like Fenris, that allow them to perform certain actions involving the Fade without being a mage, such as lyrium ghost and related skills.

my first thought was these guys As I mentioned in the Twitter Thread, Matt Goldman did give us a hint to the name of this archer... "V....... archer" So, likely "Veilfire Archer". Though I wonder if the Veil Jumpers are associated with them. Also, "Crucious" is just Greek for "crucial" So... "Plot Crucial" stone, aka "MacGuffin"?

Or possibly veilfire archer refers to that specific npc type but Veil Jumpers are the npc group they belong to.

my first thought was these guys They were my first thought as well. The location that this one is in has floating rocks, something which is associated with the Fade (or perhaps, areas where the Veil is thin or more 'Fadey'). Their weapons and gear, with floating parts and green Fadelight, also suggests the Fade. Their general design and things like the bare feet suggest that they're elven, so they would make sense to be encountered in Arlathan Forest (where, I might add, the Veil is thin). They're also suitably mysterious, new (seen in one of the DA:D trailers) and there was the Matt Goldman "V" tweet hint. In Ruins of Reality, the story in which Strife is in Arlathan Forest seeing a double (echo/mirage) of himself, the accompanying piece of art shows one of these folks looking at one of their doubles. If the art depicts Strife, it suggests Strife and Irelin are part of or connected to this faction. Maybe they are the two Veil Jumpers Varric and Harding encounter in Issue 3. When we last heard from Strife and Irelin, they were in Arlathan Forest.

hmmmm
Based on the title of the comic I assume that the central plot point not only involves tracking down Solas, but unraveling the mystery behind the abductions.
I doubt Solas is responsible, and I’ve never heard of Darkspawn kidnapping people… but we did learn from DAI that The Executors wiped a whole Inquisition camp off the map. I wonder if they’re responsible?

I wonder if they’re responsible? Darkpsawn do kidnap people, women in particular in order to turn them into broodmothers. In the past The architect and his awakened darkspawn were also responsible for kidnappings, albeit it seems his focus were grey wardens. Naturally it seems bit too coordinated and subtle to be normal darkspawn doing it, as usually when darkspawn show up, it's carnage and destruction. Only awakened darkspawn (at least some of them) demonstrate such subtlety, in particular The Seeker who may be still alive as far we know (we never encounter him, we only know about him from codex entry).
