And no, Karmic Dice was a system Larian put in because people complained they were missing checks/attacks too often. It fudge the dice rolls in your favor, or should, but the EA version also did it for enemies in combat. 

I ended up recreating my bard and changed her name to not confuse the saves and then deleted Tavaxia-who-never-left-the-intro.

I'm already half-way level 2, currently exploring a certain ruined chapel. I made her a Knowledge Cleric as planned at level 2, well minus the last minute god change to Selune. We are going to fix this party! Well maybe not Astarion, I failed all my checks there so he came off as just wanting to kill me...which means I need to change my avatar again. 

Yeah... I'm still stuck in the CC.

Also did anyone have trouble picking the male gender? It took me 15 minutes to figure it out lol.  Also I am not familiar with the new lore of the Forgotten Realms pantheon.  I do remember some of them like Bhaal, Cyric, Helm, Tyr, Torm, Lloth, and AO.  But I remember reading long time ago that some of them had died.  I do remember in the original Baldur's Gate games Bhaal was a dead god.  The only reason I am wondering is because if an npc starts talking about the new lore I don't want to get lost.  I know I can look it up but I want to avoid possible BG3 spoilers.

I'm pretty sure I've spent nearly 2 now tinkering with every race...

I noticed it was a bit laggy in EA as well. I've literally just landed on the Nautiloid, so... we'll see!

Yeah I went through every race and gender in the CC before settling on my Drow. In the EA I played as a Drow Wizard that worshiped Lloth, since I didn't know who Seldarine was. I still don't but reading from the description it sounds like I don't have to be a homicidal maniac and jerk to everyone.



I just finished that area and everything went smooth for me, and I am not playing on a high end machine.

So...the digital deluxe upgrade. Do we know if it is 'applied' automatically?

I can see it as something I can download on GoG in the 'offline installer' section, but nothing telling me whether or not it is installed.

A quick google tells me a number of people had the same question, but it just 'fixed' itself, but it wasn't clear if any of them were on GoG.

The gods are a bit ... strange in the Forgotten Realms. There is a DnD Wiki if you want to look up a specific god, it should be spoilerfree for BG3.
