Baldur's Gate III - Non Spoiler Edition

Thanks, I think the Shapeshifter Mask gives you a random appearance though. I might start over today and see if the new playthrough sticks. Maybe patch 2 will be out by the time I hit Act 3.

I find myself unreasonably annoyed that the Digital Deluxe die skin keeps disappearing on me. I don't even really like it, but why isn't it there?

I really became a fan of Larian. They are all that, BioWare isn't anymore. I might take a peak into their other games.
My little halfling is well into act 3 and the stakes are high.

Wow, Larian really is pumping out these patches!

I'm personally excited they have reduced the size of save games. I'm pretty sure that has been a major reason GeForce Now has struggled syncing the saves to Steam Cloud. Each one is typically 20+ MB and it is easy to rack up 50+ saves in no time.

Some of those lines are quite funny, but I don’t need to hear them more than once. Hearing the exact same every time gets old fast, especially when you realise you’ve just dismissed someone with a ring you wanted on someone else. Argh!

Nice to see so many patches. But does anybody else get an annoying Blood text pop up anytime you are around blood puddles now?

When I checked yesterday I found that I had 2+ gigs of saves.

Not all that surprising considering how much stuff has to be tracked, of course.

Done with act 1. Only took me 47 hours

I haven't finished watching it so I'm not sure whether it has spoilers 


EDIT: Something interesting. Swen Vincke gets asked what inspires him and he kind of dodges the question because apparently that might reveal what his next game will be. He then says he read a ton of sci fi and fantasy as a kid, so much so that he's now picky with it, but "there's a couple of really good things out there." He then confirms he can't tell what those things might be. So my big brain moment here is that Larian's next game will be based on another existing franchise.

EDIT 2: Vincke is racist classist against Bards  It actually seems classes were designed by different people.

EDIT 3: Another interesting thing is that Vincke does not seem to like D&D very much. He confesses that he doesn't play it and that he hates Vancian casting, probably because he likes playing Wizard and doesn't care for his spells being limited.

Edit 4: Okay, I watched the whole thing and can confirm no spoilers!

I'm now over 80 hours and mid-Act 3. Could definitely see hitting 100 hours before this is done. Have to take a bit of a break from the game for a couple weeks here but it's been a fantastic experience and can't wait to see how it all finishes.
