As always, I'll be playing AC games. This is no different.

Yay she's back. 

Man I was feeling extravagant intending to just buy the Gold Edition at $159 AUD. Caveat being game play video needs to be seen first.

I'm kind of curious what the Apple of Eden will take the form of this time. Manipulation tends to be the central power of these devices, but I'm curious if they'll go for something else this time (such of the Staff of Hermes from Odyssey).

Assassin's Creed Shadows pre-orders are looking very strong. I don't have the exact numbers yet, but no one in the know is disappointed with them.

I think it looks pretty cool. Though I will most likely be waiting to play it until all the dlc content is out. Valhalla showed they don't mind selling an entire seperate expansion that's not included in the initial ultimate edition. And I'm cheap lol

According to Creative Director Jonathan Dumont, #AssassinsCreed Shadows will feature scenes where the player will decide which of the two protagonists speaks and they will ask / say different things.

What are your thoughts? Who would you pick to speak in these scenes?

Well it was done in MEA Ryder could get a companion to answer or speak to NPC's

I'm unsure about this one. Mirage was the first major release that I skipped and I didn't miss it.

On the one hand, the new tech sounds good; these games always have great environments; and generally have good gameplay. On the other, I don't love the choice of protagonists, nor the dual-protagonist setup; they're undoubtedly leaning hard into unhistorical ninja-BS; and Ubisoft's business methods are terrible for gaming. (Older games tried harder to cleave more closely to alternative-history territory, which is probably why they never made a "ninja game". It's safe to say those days are well behind us.)

I'm definitely not buying this at release. I'm not sure if I'll pick it up later. It's a shame that Ubisoft has become so over-the-top with their greed. It's a real turn-off. (You guys are free to disagree, of course. This is just my opinion.)

EDIT: Also, another game with Oda Nobunaga as the bad guy? Really? We must have hundreds, already. Maybe he'll be potrayed in a nuanced way, but recent games have been light on nuance. I wonder how they'll handle Hideyoshi and some of the other daimyo? That's the stuff that could make me buy it. That, or getting to play a Templar again.
