It doesn't see Varric is a companion given how the others were introduced. Everything from the art style and the music was a bit weird. We get 7 Companion plus Varric and Harding (both NPC). To me Harding seemed to be one of the companions, or did we get some news on her not being one?

Huh, Bellara is an elf, not a dwarf. Will be interesting to see what kind of rumbling she was talking about and how she knew it was the good kind.  Was their a dwarf other then Varric or Harding?

No, this trailer did not impress me at all I mean DA had a bit of a dark edge, not super edgy but still...and now we got a bad version of Hero by Bowie (how can you even mess that song )and Pixar looking trailer with all color of rainbow obviously quirky companion introduction. Like yeah...glad I was expecting nothing.

Just going to throw this in the stream: what struck me first was what wasn’t there or more precisely who. Absolutely no mention and I don’t think any appearance of Fen’Harel. Closest they get is a blowbyline about defying “gods” (yup plural). That part wasn’t a big surprise but given how he has fronted all the other peeks and teasers, I thought his absence was notable. They were not mincing when they said the focus was moving to the Companions.

The trailer reminds me of DAO party trailer, just with more people around. The art style doesn't look that big of a departure from DAI environmental-wise, outside the more stylized faces. It's a lot closer to Matt Rhodes's concept arts.
Also, looks like we are Rook, since hooded-face covered dude is the MC standing in the trailer.
Also, Harding is the new Liara...  |

Yooo Harding!! I've always been a fan, so this has me real happy.
Also I don't have a problem with the art style, but I'm not a very visual person anyway so that was never gonna be on my radar. What I'm not...thrilled...about is Varric, but since he doesn't appear to be a companion I can deal with him.
Most other things aside I think I'm still just riding the high of seeing a trailer after all this time.
