I don't want to be overly pessimistic as it was just a trailer I suppose, but that leaves me feeling empty. The trailer felt like hero shooter #42 rather than a dark fantasy RPG.

If not for Varric I would barely clock it as a Dragon Age game.

As always, engine does not define art style, it is the art itself.

They did from NME, it was too late for Veilguard.

I'm not going to judge the art style tooooo much, cartoony styles often age better and might be good for performance. The tone and the title switch do make me worry a bit about the story though. Are we still going end of the world, brought about by an anguished trickster god potentially trapped in his own delusions of intellectual superiority or are we going ragtag bunch of misfits found familying in with the end of the world as a distant backdrop for feelgood?
