Lucanis Dellamorte - Official Companion Thread [Spoilers]

So, I just remembered that after reading Tevinter Nights for the first time I went into Sims 4 and made the Dellamortes. They got all of 3 downloads since I made them.
Gotta say, I wasn't that far off with Lucanis' physical appearance, except for the beard. I even got his color scheme sort of right. It's the traits and aspiration that I scuffed for him, mostly.



Caterina has the Successful Lineage aspiration and is self assured, ambitious and a perfectionist.


Illario has the Leader of the Pack aspiration and is an insider, outgoing and a romantic.


Lucanis has the Big Happy Family aspiration and is active, a music lover and good. These either don't make sense or they make sense only by a stretch. I don't even remember why I added music lover. I think nothing else I that I had available at the time really fit so I went with some random stuff.  I maybe could have picked one of the criminal aspirations to connect to his assassin lifestyle, thinking on it now. Oh well, might update it if I plan to actually play this household (yes, I only made them but didn't actually play with them )

People loving mullets? Seriously, why is this so heartwarming?

I'll need to see the alleged mullet in-game, but I'm very close to striking his name off my list of potential romances.

To be fair it is obvious from Tevinter Nights that he didn't have one back then because he joked that he could "grow a beard" so people wouldn't recognise him. Actually, I would think the trail of dead bodies would be a give away even if he started wearing a wig and mask (I still find it comical that is how Solas disguised himself). After all, mid-thirties, handsome with dark hair and dusky skin must be fairly common in Tevinter (just look at Dorian), so it would need something a bit more distinctive for people to positively identify him from his physical description.

Tall relative to whom though? Look at Dorian. Whilst is is accentuated in that group shot from Inquisition because he is standing next to Iron Bull, he is only around the same height as Leliana and Cassandra and shorter than both Solas and Cole. So, it is possible that the majority of Altus in Vyrantium (where Dorian's family are said to have holdings) are shorter of stature and so Lucanis would appear tall and lean to locals.  To be honest, I would have said that in that shot of him with a qunari Rook and Emmrich, it is the latter who is unusually tall when compared with Rook.  Again I would refer back to this picture below and the comparison between Iron Bull, Cole and Dorian.

It's a mullet. If you go frame by frame in the trailer you can see his hair is not tied back. At best you can say it's layered.  It's the same as Gale in BG3, just slightly longer and straight at the ends instead of curled.

Phrases like "short king" and "disaster bisexual" are hyperbolic internet speak. They're meant to elicit certain reactions but they are ultimately very reductive so it's best to take them with a grain of salt and practice caution in what opinions they might cause you to have. I sincerely doubt Lucanis is going to be a manlet who is incapable of forming complex phrases without grunting in aloofness.

I'll go with that. To be honest I can't believe I am nit picking over hair styles. That is not like me at all. The main thing is his hair isn't short and it will flow in the wind and when he is doing his moves, as in the trailer. I like long, flowing hair on my man. Never got it in real life, so have to look to my game romances to fulfill that dream. It was the only thing that disappointed me about Solas. I'm really not into bald but was prepared to make an exception in his case. Never really been into beards either but again I might be prepared to make an exception in Lucanis' case. Otherwise it will have to be Davrin, with no beard but short hair. Dang it.

Honestly, it's the voice actors who are going to be the decisive factor for me. Second factor might be what their character is like in game. Right now, Lucanis and his pseudo-mullet live rent-free in my daydreams, but I can't say which way the wind blows after I have the game in my grubby hands.

I though he had a tied-back or manbun situation… but I rewatched the trailer, and I’m afraid it *is* a mullet. 😭

He keeps it short and pulled back at the very top, then it goes long. It’s like a more modern mullet. I’ve never actually met anyone with a mullet. I thought mullets were like gnomes - if you’ve never seen one, do they really exist?
