catcher, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I didn't think I needed to spoiler my questions about combat. But I know I can get wordy so I spoilered it to avoid a wall of text that others might not care about.

Historically, Denerim was crash central for me as well, but the saves rarely got corrupted as a result. Now I have a different PC than the one I played DAO the last time, plus a different Windows version, so maybe it's not really possible to do it anymore. I made the world state I wanted to play in the Keep last night and imported it into DAI and it looks so far that DAI still works. This is probably going to be the first playthrough I import into DAV, fingers crossed DAI doesn't decide to die along the way, too.

I can get to Denerim fine, but If I try to enter anywhere from teh townmarket it crashes… Unless I crank the graphics all the way down to lowest, then it’s fine.

I need to go through the keep to remind myself of the different options and their corresponding outcomes in the later games. I have forgotten most of it.

So, before I launch into anything about "auto-dialogue" can I check with the local community on what are considered 'light spoilers'? I haven't been on a board at this stage of a game in a LOOOOOONG time and I know how much I would hate it if someone else spoiled this little oasis. Is it OK to talk about things noticed in the public gameplay reveal from June 11? As long as they don't also bring in spoilery stuff from other media? You might know I can get a little...wordy.

So that is what the hub bub is about.

My 2 cents - if anyone wants to talk about the gameplay reveal, do it in that thread. I know it's official and all, but imo they really let the cat out of the bag with it and spoiled the first big 'oh sh*t' moment in the game. Kinda wish I hadn't watched it now.

I really hope that's the case. Though I'd expect a more official occasion, but at this point I'll take anything.

Well I’m replaying DAO for the first time in forever. So personally would consider anything story related beyond recruiting Leliana in Lothering to be completely unacceptable. Although if someone had warned me that I should buy 2 backpacks from the quartermaster dude before the big battle, that would have been fine.

Back in civilization again, it was great to go away with the family but is is also really good to come back home.

Wish we had a date for release, don't know if I will have the willpower to stay away from info but so far so good and I know pretty much nothing about the game. The little tidbits that I read before vacation are now forgotten and I honestly don't know how many companions we have or what their names are. Visuals of 4 of them is what I have. I know the name of the city and that is it, no videos or anything.

Don't think I have managed to be this clueless of any other BioWare game prior to release so well done me I guess. Ha ha

I just want to play... but if I hang around the forum I am afraid that I will read everything there is and just try to see everything in advance so have a good time everyone. I will be back. I look forward to playing the game, talking about the story. seeing how different choices changes things and talk about the companions. Later, later we can do all of that here on the forum.
