So when everyone hits the Character Creator and starts building their Inquisitor, will you try to match the appearance they had in Inquisition (with or without mods), or will you be giving them some ageing qualities?

It's been nearly 10 years, so a few minor adjustments might be happening. But mostly the same, I'd guess.

I'll start by trying to get them as close as possible to inquisition and then consider how i might like to adjust it for time based on where that gets me.

Oh they aged. My canon Inquisitor is pushing 47 years old now and I'd like to try to reflect that if possible.

Depends on which inquisitor I want to use. My human inquisitors tended to look younger than my dwarven inquisitor but I doubt I will try to make them look too different than I had them in DAI. Never finished with elves or Qunari.

Recreate him exactly, then age him. He did go from thirty-one to forty-one after all. Frankly, if the character creator is as good as they're claiming, I'm probably going to be spending a lot of time recreating the Inquisitor, the Hero of Ferelden, Hawke, and all of the potential Wardens and Inquisitors before I actually get to creating Rook.

My Inquisitors were always in the younger side of the age range, so even with this being a decade later they’d look the same.

Aged, definitely, which is also great since I adore more mature looking characters.

I've always looked young for my age and the first hints I was older than I looked was when grey hairs started appearing and perhaps the odd wrinkle, so I may do something similar with my Inquisitor but since I judged them to be in their late twenties/early thirties at the beginning of DAI, they are only likely in their early 40s now, so there wouldn't be that much difference, although Trespasser may have added a few years to my Lavallen through the mental stress she has been under since then.

Yeah Kara is going to be 36-38 it sounds like for the new game so obviously some aging will be done and its something to keep in mind, just I am not exactly sure about how to go about doing it This is especially keeping in mind what the character creator will let us get away with? Will her red hair start showing signs of 'graying'? Will she be fatter after being on the side lines and semi retirement for so long? Or will she be just as fit because she has been trying to hunt down Solas to? The mind does boggle at the possibilities.

Age 'em. I did that with my Hawke...it helped with the inconsistency of the CC in DAI. Plus I doubt I'll have the patience to craft them exactly (if that's even possible).

Will her red hair start showing signs of 'graying'? People with blond hair are obviously going to be at an advantage because the odd grey hair isn't going to be so obvious. However, I was thinking about Varric and it occurred to me that when I was younger whilst officially brunette, there were a lot of chestnut (reddish) hairs mixed in that made it look more bronze/burnish in the sunlight. Then the first hairs to turn grey were the chestnut ones, which overall gave a darker and more dull appearance to it. So, that for me is the explanation for Varric's darker base this time round.

I don't care about age, I hope I can make a male elf who doesn't look like a shrimp. That's the best part for me. I can finally make my male Lavellan look as tough as Davrin and my female Lavellan be less of a skinny adolescent in appearance. It won't seem odd that she has started to fill out because I was pretty skinny until I hit middle age, so it will be a natural progression for her. I have to admit it would be funny to make her having put on rather a lot of weight owing to comfort eating and lack of regular exercise. Then if she gets to see Solas again and he asked: "What happened to you?", she could reply: "You did." I like the fact they seem to be bringing back the option to change your appearance mid-game. I enjoyed doing that in DA2. My female Hawke started out with one hair style and then I changed it with each new act to reflect character development and increased social status.

I don't know what you guys have been putting your Inquisitors through, but normally 10 years shouldn't make that much of a difference. A few more wrinkles, more grey hairs, but that's the extent of aging for mine. (And yes, I welcome the ability to put some weight on my Lavellan. Blame it on all the frilly cakes!)

Well fighting men and monsters and demons tends to accelerate the aging process. Really it depends how old you character was in DAI. Not a huge difference between 20 and 30, but 30 to 40 and 40 to 50 definitely shows

Worrying about stopping the impending end of the world might do it, though. I'm always amazed at how quickly presidents and prime ministers (well, the ones who take their positions seriously, anyway) age.

Depends on the Inquisitor. Several of mine will be well into their forties by now - hell, two of them will be fifty - so they'll definitely be showing signs of the passage of time.
On the other hand, the one that will have recently turned thirty probably doesn't look that different.

I'll likely show that at least time has passed, in Inquisition my Quizzy is mid-late twenties (she's 27 at the start), so during the events of Veilguard she'll be pushing 40
Probably change her hairstyle too...and I'm wondering about her vallaslin if they have the same ones in this game I won't have to worry, otherwise I'll need to come up with a weird lore reason for her to either have it removed (which is only possible by Solas, who she didn't romance) or have a different one

It's been nearly 10 years, so a few minor adjustments might be happening. But mostly the same, I'd guess. Yeah asme as with me and my Hawke's really i nDAI. I ma ychang emy Inquistor's hair up a bi tbased off what Veilguard has on offer but other than that they'll likel ybe as similar as I can get themto look in Inquisition.
