Like many of you I was disappointed to learn that Blood Magic would not be making a return in DATV. To add insult to injury,
the devs suggested that the Blood Magic specialization for Mages may not return an any future installments of the series.
This is a topic that I think is not going to go away. This article sums up many of my thoughts on the matter.
"Blood magic has always been present in Dragon Age, and is treated with disdain and suspicion. Though one's own blood can be used for the practice,
blood magic is feared because it often uses someone else's blood, such as that of a prisoner or enemy."
I'm hopeful that in time this decision will be reconsidered and that Blood Magic, and other specializations,
will return in future DLC for DATV and further installments in the Dragon Age series. Please feel free to discuss.
