I just feel like people are nitpicking at this point, the CC is fine but it seems that some folks need to generate rage to get clicks considering that Bioware is the "woke" video game company. If the main complaint is that some CC options offend the sensibilities of the "waaaah, woke!" crybabbies, that's actually a pretty strong mark in the games favor and strong indication its going to be a good one. Its a good sign if the main "flaw" isn't actually a flaw or negative in any meaningful way whatsoever. This feels like something that would have been written on Concords forums a few months back.

What's with these pervs? I'm a perv myself but I keep it to myself. I don't complain about the guys' bulge size. I now recognize a few men melting down about about the boob sizes and Bellara looking terrible. Oh yeah, they are no typical sex toys I get it

Concord? Who even played Concord lol? Unlike that game, Veilguards preview was received positively and there’s actual hype for the game whereas Concord was a game that no one wanted in the first place.

It’s funny how YouTube has been inundated with videos titled like “Why Players Hate Dragon Age’s Woke / DEI Character Creator”, “BioWare’s weird fetish with top surgery scars”, and “BioWare wages war against womanly curves”, all of a sudden, after yesterday’s massive success. Honey, they are getting desperate… 🙄 Dude, I don't care about the scars they're optional so I can ignore it. But the downgrading of feminine women in games is a thing, and many people are sick of it.

I don't care too much about the "woke" vs "anti-woke" debate, and even if this is a bait thread. There is an argument here. Personally, I usually only create male characters anyway. So this isn't a big deal for me. But there are women who would like to create themselves, and their body type isn't represented. Now that would be fine, but BW themselves have stated they wanted to be inclusive. Even adding things like top-surgery scars. That's fine too, but why not represent everyone? Why can't characters have large breast or butts? There is a clear double-standard here. And I think it's strange that people are labeled weird when they ask for these body proportion choices. Just as I think it's strange when people are called weird when they ask for trans choices or pronouns. It's just another choice. Why should people care if someone wants to create a character with a large butt, breast, or top-surgery scars. Its a game. Not a bait thread, and your opinion is appreciated, it was very well thought out

While I think the character creator is overall outstanding, it is legitimate to ask for larger maximum of chest and butt size, which is far from overly depiction in the current videos.

I'm going to be that person and say that perhaps they tried going bigger and the outcome was the armor clipping constantly into these womanly shapes and attributes.
As a real life big boob haver, I can't tell you how uncomfortable it is to try to run with these onboard. They aren't generally the great thing people usually think they are. There are scars, skin issues, shoulder and neck issues, headaches etc. It is my ardent wish to get a reduction surgery at some point in the future. To me this whole thread sounds like people who would prefer to have access to big boobs in real life and are vicariously living through video games.

They say things like top surgery scars are about inclusion but being able to make plus sized women is excluded...doesn't make sense to me since there are far more big and beautiful women than trans people. Certainly makes me think there is agenda involved. Just one of many issues I see with the game that hopefully the modding community fixes.

Those top scars are just a little line, it's just a map with a bit of drawning layered on the skin map. Like any scars you can have on the face or body already. Or make up. And honestly you will perhaps see those twice in game. Big Boobies will deform armors. The devs talked Sims 4 and that's an issue in Sims 4 huge boobs can make clothes looks bad. As in blurry with strange shadows/polygon popping.

Is it confirmed or something that plus sized woman aren’t possible? Some of the body types I saw definitely seemed to meet that requirement, and while I’m not sure how overweight you can make your character, I’m hearing they can at the very least be chubby. It could always be better but that seems pretty decent to me.

I don't understand why you're bringing up negatives of having big breasts in real life; this is a video game. Weird. And I think it's really insulting to generalize critics of the DAVG CC that want to make busty characters. BTW, I'm also a real life "big boob haver", and I would like a CC that includes this body type. There's no envy here. I would like to make a Rook that looks like me.

Maybe if you play as dwarf, since they already, well, wider than others, but i don't know about other races.

So there’s a bit of spectrum, and I expect limitations due to clipping, but some of the body types I’ve seen would qualify.

We can agree to disagree; I'm perfectly fine with that and seeing as the thread is here to begin with, there apparently is a desire for big boobs in video games. Which I think is weird. As to why I would bring up real life experience with having a larger chest? By the Maker, it's because it's what I think of when people talk about big boobs. They suck and body positivity be damned in this case. I'm happy with or without a slider to enlarge or decrease the chest area of your character. It's not something that defines me as a person or my character in a game.

I don't know if it's different for humans, elves and dwarves, but Ghil Dirthalen mentions in her video that her Qunari is as big as she can make her. She looks robust but I wouldn't call her chubby if that says anything? I'll put the video link here, the part I'm referring to is around the 1:47 mark.

I would consider this plus size, although I imagine others might want more unathletic variations. Especially if they’re aiming for character type akin to stuffy, academic mage. Not sure qunari is best choice for that, though.

I think the different lineages might look different to each other with the same slider settings. I see the "chubbier" version of Rook as someone who is still fit and athletic despite carrying a bit more weight, if that makes sense? To me it wouldn't make sense to have very heavy characters considering the fighting and running around these games entail. Besides that, I do think the main reason the body sliders have their limits are due to the game mechanics ie. clipping and such.

I also remember seeing/reading somewhere that devs worked a long time to make sure clipping issues weren't happening too often, so I too thought it might be the sole issue to not have boobs that could suffocate their lover when putting their face between them. Sorry Or there could be other reasons. We simply don't know.
Besides, the women that were shown so far were ABSOLUTELY stunning. I can't deal with this world anymore, honestly People complain about women being "too manly", not "pretty enough" etc in videogames. Not everyone is pretty in real life, geez.

Isn't that the entire point of fantasy games, to make a more attractive version of yourself because in real life you just aren't that pretty? Make the body you wish you had, women give themselves bigger boobs and a nicer ass, men give themselves more muscles and a better beard. And yes creating overly sexual female characters is something that will be done by men, there is no problem with that.

Is it Concord, Fortnite, or the Sims? Make up your minds, guys. Depends on whatever their youtube masters tell them on that particular day. Personally I hope it's a delightful potpourri of Super Smash Bros Melee, Night Trap, and Sim City 3000, with a dash of Barbie Horse Adventures. But the downgrading of feminine women in games is a thing, and many people are sick of it. Lol Isn't that the entire point of fantasy games, to make a more attractive version of yourself No.
