The true reason why your Rook lacks "curves":
Neve just stole them all lol.
Seriously, I suspect that the curves might depend on other sliders like the thin-muscular-fat scale or maybe race as well. The IGN video that has been the source of the drama was using an Elf rook.

I am more than willing to believe the reason we don't know about it is that the journalists who got the early access made everything incompetently. I remember when Origins came out: BioWARE gave us the character creator ahead of time, and we could make a character (if you imported it, I think you got something super minor). What would it take for that to happen?

What would it take for that to happen? Honestly, it’s a great idea for any game with custom characters. After waiting for the game to release, then waiting whatever your internet will allow for the download, you both want to create your perfect character and, you know, play the actual game. How much more civilized to release the character creator a week ahead, and let people take their time with it. I’ve never even considered it before, by now I think about it, it should be standard practice, nay, a legal requirement.

But why can't we have elves with properly sized bottoms? Its 2024 damn it.

Why does this game look cartoony?! Also why do the women not look like anime porn?! I feel sorry for you if the idea of a curvy woman immediately makes you think "porn"

Petition to delete CC and just play as as a silent and invisible protagonist. I think Bioware should've just done the same thing as Larian did: let us choose face/body presets and that's it. Most people seem to be happy with BG3's CC. When the game was released, some complained that it was very limiting but at this point i've seen more praise for it rather than criticism. Plus not being able to modify your character's body/face also helps with animations, which i believe was the reason why Larian went this route with CC.

Oh, I’ve seen plenty of “why are all the female faces so ugly?” threads. Male too, sometimes. Have you been to the Larian forum? As usual it’s the company’s own site that has the most criticism.

I only have been to larian forums when i googled something about the game and it showed results from there. I mostly visit Reddit this days, and i've seen threads about "ugly" female/male faces on BG3 subreddit only shortly after the game was released. Nowadays i mostly see praise. Probably because PC players simply use mods and console players just move on like they always do.

I want to stay faaar away from this topic because it can easily attract the worst\creepiest kinds of people, but I think it's fair to ask the slider to give more leeway. (But then I'd wonder how many people would complain about clipping afterwards though. )That said, if the main criticism of the CC is the lack of voluminous curves, the devs must have outdone themselves, judging by previous games' CC

I really don't know how far we can go with any of these options outside of what's been previewed. The fact that we're still questioning whether or not your body preset even affects the Bust/Glute sliders kind of shows this.

The fact that we're still questioning whether or not your body preset even affects the Bust/Glute sliders kind of shows this. I think body preset affects tits/ass slider in the same way that race affects height slider. I'm pretty sure the tallest human is taller that the tallest elf, for example. So i think if you choose curvy body preset then your ass will be bigger by default, and ass slider will also be more effective.

Isn't that the entire point of fantasy games, to make a more attractive version of yourself because in real life you just aren't that pretty? Make the body you wish you had, women give themselves bigger boobs and a nicer ass, men give themselves more muscles and a better beard. And yes creating overly sexual female characters is something that will be done by men, there is no problem with that. Hell nah. I never play myself, I can be myself in real life. I know though that some people aim to "improve" themselves as a fictional character. Which is great if they want to do that, but if there's no option for it, maybe just accept it.
There is no problem if men want to create the woman of their dreams, no. But if it's not possible in some games, why must that be a bad thing? Play the game that allows it? Or try the game that doesn't allow it and find something else in that game that's interesting to you? Most games have far more to offer than just being a date simulator.
Or stick with their porn and whatever adult games on Steam. Flyingtrout has even got one here upset because he was right about it.

Funny how many people seem to think wanting to play a female character that’s not Olive Oyl means you’re into porn. What a weird, creepy society we live in.

I remember a time, which was not long ago, when Bioware fans were fighting for options to please as many players as possible. That included gay characters, love interests, storylines, skillsets, even weapon sizes and realism. These days people here fight for limitations.
What the hell happened here?

What the hell happened here? well I follow video games for most of my life so I know that limitations are going to be part and parcel of the genre. There is not going to be an option for everyone or every thing. Andromeda's red hair stunk and Veilguard's hair styles don't include everything. It was always going to be this way. But it's not about just one option it's about the entire package and VGs CC seems to have the widest variance ever. And this is the first time they have let you morph the body in the CC. From a wider perspective limitations often add spice in life and in video games. If one can truly do everything then choice does not matter.

While it's expected that there won't always be options for everything, people simply asking for more in a CC with body sliders, shouldn't cause such an outrage.
