I remember a time, which was not long ago, when Bioware fans were fighting for options to please as many players as possible. That included gay characters, love interests, storylines, skillsets, even weapon sizes and realism. These days people here fight for limitations. What the hell happened here? well I follow video games for most of my life so I know that limitations are going to be part and parcel of the genre. There is not going to be an option for everyone or every thing. Andromeda's red hair stunk and Veilguard's hair styles don't include everything. It was always going to be this way. But it's not about just one option it's about the entire package and VGs CC seems to have the widest variance ever. And this is the first time they have let you morph the body in the CC. From a wider perspective limitations often add spice in life and in video games. If one can truly do everything then choice does not matter. This isn’t a hair style, or color though. This is an entire body type. And a fairly common one at that.

It was disappointing that Andromeda had a hair out of a can look but didn't really effect the quality of the overall CC. Again limitations are going to be a part of any game and really all the other things people have been worried about not being in the game actually are so it does not do a lot for the strength of this argument.

It's the only criticism I keep seeing outside of how large ones character can be. For the latter, what reference are we using here to determine how plus-sized someone can be (i.e. what game are we using as a 'good' metric)?

While it's expected that there won't always be options for everything, people simply asking for more in a CC with body sliders, shouldn't cause such an outrage. I think the reason why it caused such an outrage (from both sides) is that people who dislike CC choices a) often bring surgery scars and/or b ) imply that Bioware must hate feminine women.
I feel like if people simply asked for more choices then there would be less push back agaisnt it.

plus given a lot of this stuff can be fairly instantly and easily disproven also tends to make one jump to conclusions. Like sure maybe you don't want to create a curvy Rook for purely sexual reasons, I sure don't when I do, but when you can create a curvy Rook and then people say you can't, while posting examples, it's a little sus.

The thing is, even when there are people that make posts in good faith, you still have some others bounce back and insinuate that you're a perv and what not, or that you just want to make grotesque bodies. Honestly it's so silly all around, because there are good points to be made,. Everything would go far smoother if people learned to ignore poor behavior and just engage decently. Even if this was a bait thread, people could've turned it around into something nice, but it appears like there's a large group that doesn't want to.

I am happy that we even get to modify our body types (let alone in a BioWare game), along with having a dedicated Transmog system. This was something that I wish Dragons Dogma 2 did, because there were some pretty cool armor combinations we could have had if they decided to include it. Also, for the Transmog system, do we know already if a certain class is allowed to transmog gear from another class (ex. A Warrior wearing transmogged Rogue gear)?

Exactly, there's nothing wrong with asking for more options. I like having those, too (but I'm not mad if I don't get them). But some people always think Bioware does something deliberately to piss them off, they attack the devs and their work, their choices to do things a certain way, and then won't even see reason when some people have brought up valid ideas as to why they didn't include XXXXL boobies. Like clipping, or other things that would make sense.
The other point is that no one has seen yet how much the CC can actually do. But complaining about it beforehand is a thing apparently. Oh, that's right. Many people don't even want to play the game to see it for themselves because it's bad already without having seen it. So why do big boobies matter to them again?

This is why i said that there will be less push back and not that there will be no push back. Such topics will always result in people insulting each other and talking about what "real" women should like.
Personally, i have no problem with people asking for more options, but it's not like you can create very fat or very muscular women, so the idea of Bioware pushing an agenda is just ridiculous to me. Like, i sure as fuck can't create a human woman that looks like me in BG3, i need to play as fucking dwarf for that because their body type is closer to mine. But i don't claim that Larian has any agenda.

I suspect it's probably because of BioWare's more progressive lean (ex. You claim to be an inclusive company, but don't offer a multitude of options so people feel included?). Funny enough, this kind of reminds me of a conversation a friend brought to me regarding Bungie (w/ Destiny 2), and how the studio had a internal promotional event called, "Black at Bungie." Some of the conversations I've seen hear that bring up BioWare's progressive bonafides reminds of some of the same sentiments echoed by my friend. I can't recall what his issue was though. Honestly, if folks want big booties and tig ol bitties, have at it!

I haven't read much of the topic I admit. I'm late. But I did read two posts that totally baffled me and that seemed to think that curvy women = anime porn. That's beyond offensive. The thought of a 14 years old adolescent that doesn't have much contact with women and has no idea of the diversity among them. Some should faslely preach awkwardly less on internet and should hang out more and talk to real women IRL honestly. Beyond anime porn they may watch and are referring to and female characters in video games as well. That may help them to figure out better what's going on out there. Yes curvy women exist, elsewhere than in anime porn I mean. They are a good portion of the billions of women actually. In my own compagny there are a lot of curvy women. It's perfectly fine to want to create a beautiful curvy woman in a video game. Why would you be a perv for doing such thing ? What is wrong with that ? To be in such a mindset like trying to shame people who have their preference for that body type is such a bizarre nerd thing to me. Thanks god that type of nonsense, I almost never see it IRL. Anyway that story inspired me. I'll make my first female character as curvy as possible, even if the game won't allow me.

The feminists (the bad woke kind, not the good TERF kind) took away all the feminine shapes to punish straight men. Now in MODERN TIMES the booba sliders only go to 10 instead of 11, and the 4 pounds of polygon ass have been replaced with western agenda scars. Gamers rise up against the Limitations Mafia!

I would be a lot more inclined to have a civilized conversation about this issue if literally every single time it's brought up (as in the very first post of this thread) it didn't also reference the scar thing, because right now the scar thing is the #1 'Bioware is bad/woke' talking point in YouTube comments across the platform. So yeah, I can't take the complaint seriously because of that associated disingenuous idiocy. That well has been poisoned.

I saw a video of a female human who had a nice rear. (+ quite the thin waist so it popped out more) I think some races like elves are lithe and if you pick an already slim elf and try the max glutes...you still get a case of a small flat derriere.

If you pick athletic/thin body type then you won't be able to give your character big bubbly ass, for example. Or maybe i just misremember things.

So would a character like this be curvy enough? (Sofa Jockey was the one who posted it originally) I like personally. But I’ve seen two videos of 2 reviewers trying to max out the ass and the chest, and it was quite pathetic. The ass remained flat, the same as the chest. Seeing this, I wondered what was even the point. For the chest, I think the outfit is the tree hiding the forest. I can’t still see she has a b cup at best and didn't change much. And the ass, from behind we can’t see it, but pretty sure it remained flat, the same as the default with little difference, so I don’t know. We at least know we can have wide hips.
