DLC plots, I like Windstad Manor the best. It was a bit more remote, but I LOVED the view of Solitude on a clear day.
Non-DLC, it's a toss-up between Proudspire, and Hjerim in Windhelm.

I went ahead and downloaded my own dimension plane of Oblivion. It's a nice mansion with all the amenities, a Matrix style Hall of Doors leading to every hold, immortal servants (including a jester), catacombs and an escape tunnel. Oh and a pool, obviously.
That being said, I'm sure there's an elders scrolls thread around here somewhere that could use this dicussion. Merging...

I like Windstad Manor, (it's the only hearthfire house I've built so far) I built it in my civilian play-through and the place has many great memories.

Proudspire. Plus it had the extra safe easier inventory management.

I main an Imperial Templar in ESO. I also have a Dunmer Sorcerer and I plan on making a Nord Dragon Knight.
That said, I could not give any less of a crap about Elder Scrolls' lore, other than a few individual storylines. Also with that said, I think that of the ES games I've played (those being Skyrim, ESO, and roughly 3/4 of Oblivion), I think ESO as a whole unit has the strongest writing. Warcraft, for all its cheese, is the more interesting fantasy video game universe to me.

If I ever find myself by the Thalmor embassy in Skyrim, I invariably slaughter every Thalmor (including in the locked areas you can't normally get into) I see and drop a meteor on it for good measure.

Do not forget that lovely place called Northwatch Keep. More Thalmor to kill... It's really fun to do it when you play an Altmer.

I never thought I can play a game for 1600 hours... Since, social life is a term whose I don't know what that means anymore. The more astonishing thing : I'm not tired of the music at all. I like the crazy things that can happen to you, when admiring the landscape, you're assaulted by some fools suddenly, or when you're fighting a dragon, 3 vampires attack you too, then a bear comes joining the party... No DLC : I stay mostly in Breezehome DLC : lakeview manor & Heljarchen (central place) Proudspire manor & Windhelm house: I have never gained access to these houses even if quests were done, so proudspire is now a beautiful market place. (revenge by mod) For info; more used house mod : Elyseum Estate and uh... Hail Sithis!

It's not just a great mod, it's a completely new game in the Skyrim engine, and it's absolutely fantastic. Massive amount of content, amazing writing, the best companions I've seen in a game, and it fixes all the gameplay issues I have with Bethesda games. It's safely my favourite game in existence by a large margin. (and it fucking made me cry which is a thing that does not happen to me...)

Yep, Whiterun as it has everything I need close by early in the game. Lakeview Manor later in the game. Love the location. Well, loved the location until I figured out that bandits lived right next door and someone kept coming back to perform sacrifices at the foot of the hill. Not safe for my husband and children. So, does anyone else collect as many people as possible to live at their manor? I like to have all the positions filled and adopt children so that I come home to a home full of friends. In real life, I'd seriously hate coming home to a bunch of people.

As far as homes go in Skyrim, Breezehome is efficient enough for most of the game. However, Severin Manor is my favorite home once I retrieve it in Raven Rock. It has everything I could ever want. I eventually transfer stuff from Breezehome to there (making Lydia carry everything )

So far my only home in my current Skryim game is the one I, uh, "appropriated" from the witch who lives by Riverwood. As long as you stash your stuff in the barrel in the basement, it won't despawn. So far. Level 12 and counting.
I like the Whiterun house, but I'm deliberately avoiding Whiterun because I don't feel like dealing with dragons yet.

It's weird too because all the stuff in the run up to TESO was pretty great, and honestly the game itself was super polished, all sorts of neat art, books, lore, I'm sure the game itself makes tons of money even now I'm told... however for a reasonable hardcore ES fan it just wasn't anything really new or special.

Another question if you could change or fix something in the game what would that be ??? For morrowind I would probably change how the combat works, it just feels weird to be clearly slashing a weapon at an enemy and having no damage done because you actually somehow missed. For oblivion, and the latter installments, I feel like the faction/guild system should change. I'd like to be locked out of one faction if I joined another or after doing certain quests (like how in morrowind if you did a certain fighters guild quest, you'd no longer be able to join the thieves guild). The thing I would change in skyrim, definitely how leveling works. Quests don't give you any exp, I know that's not just a skyrim issue but . . . It doesn't feel right in this game in particular. Not only that but I felt that the reward for some of the quests were bad (300 gold, that's it?! Being a companion doesn't pay, I tell ya!) But what can you do. I would change elder scrolls online so there would be more emotes! (and maybe more areas in aldmeri dominion that isn't valenwood. Seriously, we visit one summerset isle place, one elsweyr place, and then the ENTIRETY of valenwood! talk about setting fatigue!)

There's just one thing i'd like to change in Skyrim: the A.I of the opponents, it was the first kind of mod I started to install. Adversaires are too easy when you reach a threshold, so there is a need in changing their behaviour in fight, at first, as well as the curve of the dificulty, more necessary for the dragons, the fights are becoming too much predictable. Adversity will be more gratifying, and the challenge improved, by feeling ourself more insecure. I played the game modded and not modded, whitout mods it's largely enjoyable, just a few quests bugs, resolved by installing the "unofficial" patches. TES series deserves to stay a SP game, only for the purpose to play it again whenever I want. I just imagine Morrowind as a MMO, it'll be unplayable today. For me, this game is a gem, and for those who have the possibility to install mods, as said above, it's perfect.
