Picture this: The Milky Way is under attack by the reapers. It seems hopeless. Cut to the Hyperion making its way to Andromeda, not knowing if the rest of the Milky Way races will make it. But they have to try. Thousands of lives in cryosleep. Humanity's last hope if Shepard fails...

I always liked the night club music! Afterlife and Purgatory were awesome, and I don't even like dance club stuff. We definitely need to collect some ideas for that. MEA needs to have seedy night clubs or it's no true Mass Effect game!

Well I am very fond of the Mass Effect 1-3 sound track. However this is about music that is not already a part of it. So here are my choices... though I am sure most will hate my choices:

Cloud Atlas

Cloud Atlas is fairly epic but without the techno tone. I can imagine this playing during a very impactful decision or perhaps the epilogue where you are reflecting on the journey. Or, they just received a priority encoded message stating the Milky Way is under attack by the Reapers. Don't return. Move forward with your mission as failure is no longer an option for all the races that made it to Andromeda.

For something a bit different...This one you may recognise it from Jessica Jones or The 100 (a song being used in the soundtrack for a CW show is usually a surefire way to kill my enthusiasm for it, however...!) or simply because you have excellent taste in music because OMAM are generally great. Aaaanywho..



I'm less fussed about the lyrics, which are a bit nonsense, but I love the way this song builds from the quiet into that mad, desperate crescendo... I can feel Ryder in it; that sudden acceleration from nothing to something; the fear, and the determination to take a leap into something dangerous and unknown.
