Never romanced Cortez. Poor guy. Loses his beloved husband. Then if Shepard romances him; he probably loses him too. AND his beloved dropship aswell! Trauma congo line indeed.

When Ryder and gang are getting their asses kicked he'll be like: "It's fine," and when Ryder takes out a group of baddies in the most epic way possible, Liam will be like: "Greatest soldier in the world: Ryder."

Because She is Liara in term of getting more treatment than other character maybe.



About Liam face, Maybe they just want to make us feel more curious more hype before show his face is gameplay next month.

Darn it, BioWare. Don't ruin PeeBee for me like you ruined Liara.

And yeah, I forgot about that! I imagine we'll get some unimportant cinematic during the gameplay that'll show Liam's face.

My dream/hope for Liam is he is voiced by Alistair's VO and drops the jokes that fall flat but are hilarious.

He also tries it on with all the new alien girls, and gets us into trouble during at least 1-2 first contact situations trying to woo the local fauna.

Like a tactless Kirk, a Space Alistair with gun skills if you will.

Alistair wasn't a creep who flirted with any female that moved though. I like the thought of Liam being a guy who makes cheesy jokes to diffuse tense situations (a.k.a. Alistair) but not the creepo aspect. Plus it's kind of a cliche, especially if he only hits on females. It's why I'm kind of annoyed by Lance's character in Voltron (if anyone's seen the new series). It's like, really? It's not funny, especially when it reminds you of all the guys in real life who've pestered the hell out of you like that, too.

Sounds like LeeRoy Jenkins to me.

I liked Cortez but found his design off putting. A latino man with deep blue eyes like that? WTF? Aside from that he was a decent character that wasn't overt or stereotypical. I wish he and Joker got more dialogue together. They'd be great foils and the banter would be gold. Though they got some bits in Citadel, I'm not too fond of that dlc's subversion of tension and the abundance of ooc moments and charicaturizations.

Actually, I'm pretty certain Bioware is counting the "flings" into their total romance count, and that's the only reason it'll have more "romances" than DA:I. This would make sense especially since they seemed to imply even dong DA:I's 8 was bothersome. So I'd bet we're going to get the standard 2/2/2 with flings in addition. Even if there are just 3, that's 9 "romances" total.

Actually, I don't think that's the universal translator making the words grammatically feminine because: They called Patriarch, the krogan, "Patriarch" specifically because it was a title that "didn't exist" for the asari. In addition, they do use the term "father" non-interchangeably with "mother". So they're definitely using non-neutral terms themselves, it isn't the translator.

About the first paragraph: Funny, I had the exact opposite reaction. I love the "boring" companions like Kaidan, Alistair, Cullen etc. I hope Liam is similar. And out of the 2 squadmates we've seen, one is written by Sera's writer, and the other one sounds like Sera? Great... Here's hoping Luke's writing skills have the capacity for variety.

But I totally agree on the second paragraph. It's pretty sad we still haven't seen the faces of any other companions, even in that "preview" of them. Also, "cop out", I see what you did there
