I need names! For reasons...

I'm going to be really upset if his hair is super dumb looking after all this hype.

This outcome is almost guaranteed.

You know, I was just over in the meanings of our squaddies names thread. Cora and Liam. Liam's name, among other things, also references "Will-Helmet", even Helmet of Will.

So, maybe Liam will have helmet hair. And somehow now I'm picturing it like this. lol.

We've got 'em. The squad is generally smarter and requires less micromgmt, though--you don't order specific powers.

They tend to take care of themselves, yes, but coordinated attacks are still possible, using in-world cues.

Can we assume Liam is Tech Class (Engineer? or Sentinel?)

Good question. It's hard to predict what any of the companions' loyalty quests might entail, since in the old games they were usually about tying up loose ends, and most of these people are going to be literal light years away from whatever baggage they have in their pasts. Hopefully that means they won't be quite so cookie-cutter. 

They tease about Liam on twitter so many time. I know they love to torture us.

I'm excited to find out Luke wrote Liam, his characters are always so surprising.

Why would they do that?

There are plenty of shows and stories when a white person was abandoned by his/her father when he was young though. Also ME2 is by itself a fest of character with daddy's (or mommy's) issues, both in the squad and outside. I think there is a good chance it was accidental.

Yeah, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt in ME2 and say that it was accidental, given the plethora of other parental issues in the trilogy.

But a romanced Jacob proceeding to hook up and impregnate another woman in ME3 cannot be defended. Not only was his character get derailed massively, the precise opposite of his mantra in ME2 ("Own your mistakes") that he made clear in his Loyalty Mission, but the whole thing played upon some extremely negative and cliched racial stereotypes.

Jacob was one of the many things in ME3 that seemed not to have been proof-read by the writing pool before they put it in the game.

May you be a far better written character, Liam, you deserve it.
