I, too, prefer male voice actors BioWARE employs. It feels that all the females always have higher-pitched voices in their games, I am guessing so it is more clear who is a male and who is a female, but it makes them all sound the same to me. I would have love to hear a low, husky or hoarser female for once in a bio game. Actually, speaking of which, would not mind the lower male voices either, because there were not any really in the ME crew that I can think of, save for Thane.
I think my favorite voices were Bounty Hunter, Smuggler and Trooper in SWOTOR, and I actually really like the Male Shepard, and, obviously, Thane. 
I do like accents, save for British. Accents is one of the reasons I like Quarians so much. I'd love a character with a German accent, for example. I also would not mind borrowed words from other languages as parts of the dialogue, like in Firefly What's wrong with British accent(s) may I ask? I mean, sure, as a Brit, there are some regional accents that aren't exactly operatic to the ears, but there is a good range of regional accents and thus not all are bad surely? If anything blame it on American productions (whether film, television, video games) often only ever using either your typical 'posh British' accents, or London Cockney, apparently the only two accents in existence here in Britain  |

Liam looked to be kicking ass versus those Hydra mechs in the trailer. Someone other than Ryder seems to be zipping rapidly around the battlefield. I can't tell if it's Liam, since the camera isn't focused on the NPC long enough to tell. It could be the female NPC that goes unidentified in the scene. (Biotic Cora?)
It does seem pretty certain, though, that he and Ryder set up a tech combo on a Hydra. Liam is seen hauling ass out of the way before it explodes. I like the AI implied by the ass-hauling.

Liam's icon is really intriguing to me as well. Looks like he's going to have spikey hair and goggle? That totally does not jive with the image that I was expecting (buff ex-cop). I'm definitely interesting in learning more about him.
Also, side note: I'm kind of sad that Liam is becoming a popular name. I know it's always been well known in the UK, but growing up no one knew it in the US (it's my middle name and I use it). It was kind of nice that it was an uncommon name (really only Liam Neeson made it known at all). I remember just a few years ago totally stumping some people by trying to get them to guess it and only told them that it started with "L". They had about a dozen guesses and then gave up. Even after I said that a famous A list actor had the same name. Now it's the 3rd most popular baby boy name in 2016. Boo.

Reyes has a South American Spanish accent, if I'm hearing it right (Argentina, Colombia or Venzuela, maybe?). That could be because that's his origin. It could be because that's how the VA thinks a Spanish accent should sound; or it could be because I've mistaken one Spanish accent for another in a very short sample. We shall see. Maybe a native heard something different than I, and thinks I'm full of it? Someone asked via Twitter if we'd be hearing more from Reyes anytime soon. The response was, "Yes, if <insert writer> has anything to say about it." |

Their reticence to show humans is a little worrying. The aliens look cool, but the few humans we have seen so far look weird. I suppose they are still polishing their character models and maybe the CC as well, but until I see more I am not confident they won't end up deep in the Uncanny Valley.
On a brighter note, I like what the icon seems to suggest about Liam. ME has this thing wherein the male human sidekick tends to be rather bland (Kaidan, Jacob, James). It is entirely too early to tell, but I am getting an Alistair vibe from Liam at the moment. If so, that would be a pleasant surprise.
