And honestly that single picture gets me more excited for MEA than everything else I've seen combined.

I'm just glad they gave her a nice body at least. I'll make my SisRyder look beautiful. Screw the tumblr haters of beautiful women. 

Dude, I am so going to be Rysis on my first go. Her default apperance looks great, I liked her "we've made it" in the trailers and... it's just awesome to be a badass female action hero, you know? That's the appeal of Metroid to me too. I would be able to relate better to the RPG stuff as Scott though, given that I am myself a brother with two sisters.

I would speculate the idea of the Ai has been going for some time, in the same way making the first moon base was a thing in ME lore. I feel like there is a reason they wrote that they are unaware of the Reaper invasion, because then it could mean they were shaping up for Andromeda but as soon as the Reaper invasion hits they cut their losses and launch immediately. If not, then it's kind of a cop out and one can just hope they leave it as unexplained as possible so they at least don't make it clear as day how lazy it is writing-wise. I really want to believe the aspect of the Andromeda initiative results in something good. I'm not excited for fighting ancient evil or all those "vroom boom" set piece crap from the trailers; I think the aspect of having multiple arcs of different species making first contact with new species has all the meat this story needs. I hope they at least try to go somewhere with that

Sooo, Mako can't shoot. In other words it's the Andromeda version of my fabulous stag mount, right? The Mako better have an amazing roar too or driving around will be hella dull...

It sounds like the game will be EXACTLY Inquisition in space. I mean, there are even the same damn stone pillars in the new video!

This is both good and very bad in my book. And I'm REALLY getting nervous about no gameplay. The thing that I had most issues with was the lame ass gameplay that was no fun at all to me. ME2 and ME3 were fun. DAO was fun at the time, DA2 was really fun. DAI sucked. It just sucked. And the crazy respawn rate really didn't help.

So the thing that worries me the most apart from another boring glowing hand special snowflake hero is combat. I don't mind mixing classes IF that means really unique awesome custom classes that are fun and play differently from one another. Just please show us a gameplay trailer so I can stop fretting.

If this is the actual text from Bioware, they didn't break it, yet. The general public was unaware (or disbelieving) of the Reapers in 2185, but the people behind this Andromeda initiative could still have known and been preparing. It's still pretty troubling that I have to infer this from the way it's written, but at least it's still (narrowly) avoiding "welp, we're bored, let's just go to Andromeda".

Agree. That is precisely what i am thinking and hoping. It would also give a reason to bring pretty much every species.
