yeah I'm not a fan of girls with short hair in general but I think they pulled it off with Cora though in giving her a cute but practical look with short hair. So for me I've got to say well done Bioware for that or at least the people who've been working on her anyway. I just hope the CC matches the quality that everything else in the game seems to have.

Where did I say the two were mutually exclusive? All I said was that the manly/butch talk was kept to a minimum (true) and that most guys in this thread seem to think she's attractive (also true). I made no mention of the guys who simply don't find her or her hair attractive (a perfectly valid opinion, by the way, even if I don't agree). I don't see where I lumped those people in with anyone?

Comments weren't aimed at you specifically. Yours was simply a convenient quote to illustrate my point in talking about the general trend I saw. Though while we're on the subject, actual butch talk was kept to a minimum while reaction to butch talk... not as much. Also part of my point.

Hey guys! I haven't been to the forums for a while, but the new cinematic trailer and mission briefing brought me back to some of these threads to read the concurrent discussion about the new characters, their appearance, the action scenes shown in the sequences, etc.

I'm glad both Cora and Liam were finally revealed, I usually play with human companions in Dragon Age and Mass Effect games, and I think this will be another instance where I'll mostly use Cora and Liam. In ME 1, I played with Ash and Alenko through 80% of the game, leaving Virmire to the very possible last minute because I simply enjoyed playing with military-trained humans much more.

Beyond the comments regarding the aspect of their characters (youth, hairstyles, body types, romance, etc), my main concern is how well written they are, and how properly will they be integrated into the plot as a whole. From this point of view, we have almost nothing yet, which makes me fully understand why we are all focusing so much on appearances. We just don't know much about their personalities or the role they will play as the story progresses. We do have a bit more knowledge on how/when/reasons for some of these guys to go to Andromeda. Or to be in the Tempest at all.

If Cora is an amazing, interesting, well-written character, we will go beyond whether we like her hair or not... On the other hand, if the story ended up being an atrocious cliché and a huge let down, character aesthetics, voice acting and dialogue would hardly "save" the game from criticism. I really hope this is a great Mass Effect game that brings back the good memories and the excitement from the original trilogy
