Cora Harper (Official Thread)

Mostly it's the way the plating sits, particularly around the shoulders. Just not a fan of the design. The color scheme's ok. Take that an apply it to the ME3 armor on the previous page and I'd be happy to use that.

ya know, I think Two Faces from earlier just likes to hate on this game just for giggles. I spotted him on a couple of other threads. So I vote we ignore him

The problem isn't criticizing characters for appearance and personality, since it was done in this very thread before. It depends on how the criticism is done.

CrutchCricket explictely said that her hairs look like shit and nobody reacted to him as with you.
I think she looks good, that why I put her as my avatar. As I did with Alec and Drack before her. I just rotate between MEA pics at the moment, I'm not making any assumption on her personality whatsoever (unlike you) and my statement on her have been positive but mild.


Again, the problem isn't having a really negative opinion on her and her hairstyle. It's making dumb assumption on her being a feminist nazi just because of that. Of course you can't make assumptions on her being nice just for look alone if you happen to like her; but you can from her background and how she talks, which is why some people said that she seems nice. You didn't even come here and said 'I think/fear she looks like a feminist...' but just jumped on with the assumption.

Not that you can't actually say that. While I disagree on the notion of making assumptions on looks, I think you're free to do whatever you want unless you don't violate any rules, and I'll reply to you if I think I can have a conversation with you. I don't ignore people just because they have different opinions from mine. You'll obviously get called out more by others, compared to the people that criticize her, even very negatively, but in a different way from you.

Her bio mentions she trained with them through "Valkyrie program" (sentinel?) and later "huntress training" (infiltrator with biotic skills?)
Of course, I'm just making guesses based on ME3MP kit names

Since Peebee is a Rogue Academic I think Cora will have her "own" class, not Adept or Vanguard.
And if she has a classs from before then she HAS to be Adept, Peebee doesn't seem to be the adept one and unless the new catfish knows of biotic we don't have any biotic companion.

It is Peebee's class/title, because it's placed on the same place where Ryder is, which is recon specialist by default regardless of profile we pick at rank 1. It became technical overseer at rank 4 for the engineer profile.
Peebee's rogue academic works in the same way as Garrus' turian rebel or Miranda's Cerberus officer. From ME2 they gave squadmate titles that often aren't connected to the class' archetype of the character (Infiltrator and Sentinel for Garrus and Miranda).
Peebee's archetype is the sentinel given the mix of biotic and tech, but her title isn't sentinel, but rogue academic. 

Have to agree on that.
So Cora will either fill the Vanguard or Adept slot on the squad.

Based solely on what little we've seen of her in the trailer, in particular when she restrains Liam's angry reaction, I think she seems more likely to be a crowd-controller than someone who charges into the fray, so I'd go with a variant of Adept. There's not enough to go on, really, though.

Personally think they aren't saying because with people saying she's old etc they don't want the backlash when they state that their intention was a late-twenties character.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if come the next trailer her complexion makes her look a little younger, maybe they'll narrow her chin a bit too. It appears that Scott Ryder's appearance has gradually changed (though could just be camera trickery) so seems feasible to me. Not that i'm saying there's anything wrong with her appearance, it just has been getting some backlash so could potentially be tweaked.

I remembered how in Star Trek, if both Kirk and Spock went out of the ship mr. Sulu would have the bridge...but I don't really know how these things work

Cora, in the Briefing, says a considerable deal about Alec Ryder, the siblings, herself and even SAM.

But about Liam? Only that he's an idealist. Plus the way she says it. Something about the tone of her voice tells me Cora and Liam are not on the best of terms.
