Oh..I could call my Ryder Janus which is the second name I usually use for rpg characters after Etrius so the power couple would be Peebee and J....lol

Anyone think the P maybe stands for "Professor" and B is the initial of her last name?

I won't at all be upset if she has elements of Sera in her. I consider Sera to be a top 3 BioWare character of all time.

I hadn't considered that before, but it is a good theory.

B could also be the initial of her given name if P stands for Professor. Some of the Asari only have a single name, like Samara.

Asari offspring don't inherit any DNA from the father species, they are always born 100% Asari.

Rather than include their own DNA, the role of an Asari father is to help randomise the DNA of the Asari mother when conceiving their offspring. Somehow the meld seems to allow for certain personality traits and characteristics of the father to manifest in the offspring, despite them having no biological relation to the father's species.

Yeah, she sounds far more like Aethyta... boisterous, unorthodox and far more savvy than she lets on.

I feel like I should comment on this thread

So I'm going to say my impressions of Peebee. I see everyone saying that it sounds like she's like Sera, but to me the semblance is light... I mean, Sera was an ok character, I didn't romance her but I know how her character develops and I enjoyed her being unpredictable at times, example . The only thing I didn't like was that half the time I couldn't understand what she meant? Or didn't find it funny, dunno, I couldn't really relate. Maybe it's cause english is not my first language, but from what I heard from Peebee already she sounds fine.

Assuming the tech trailer show us some point where we're meeting Peebee for the first time (that second line and having 2 squadmates with Ryder make me think that, unless we have 3 now like DA) it really feels as if she knows something about what they're exploring and seems super interested in finding out more. I think that's cool and shows her interest in the alien tech, already covered by gameinformer. This, as some already said, reminds me of Liara, which I enjoy since she is one of my favorite characters, and for me, this search for knowledge is a thing I can definitely relate to. Also her later lines in the tech trailer tells me she can be somewhat goofy/playful (dunno the right adjective here) too ("Ahh, it's right on our heels!").

I'm sure she joins the team at first just because she sees she can achieve more faster if she can get their help, but I believe she'll get attached eventually as time goes on. Even so, as gameinformer says, she may be in conflict with other characters, maybe this stuff will lead to some drama that you need to help with, choose sides, etc, I imagine something like that fight between Miranda and Jack on ME2.

About her Design, they've been changing it and I didn't think it was bad before, but I think it's better now. I wonder if that scene with her in the E3 trailer will be shown later or if they changed their minds about it, her sad face because of the knife also tells a bit about herself, she's afraid of being hurt or dying so just because she doesn't care about stuff doesn't mean she's the bravest (she could be shown as angry or something).

Never heard of her. Then again I haven't seen anything she has been in so not surprising.

No offense, but were/are you guys living under a rock?

I wonder what the story is behind PB's "mask"? I also wonder if we'll get the chance to have her permanently wash it away. I have some idea of what the mask might mean, and I suspect that if removing it is even an option, it might be a "romance path" option. I'd like to see it outside of that limited path, though. She looks like she needs to wash her face, no matter how important the mask might be to her.
