Heh Wow. That action figure looks really good. If Scott ends up looking like that I'll be more than satisfied . He looks a bit different from Steven Brewis tho Wow indeed! I wasn't even considering buying a replica of Scott Ryder until just now. That looks incredible!

I feel bad for Scott, its like his dad's spent so much time murderizing aliens he's never taught his son how to shave. I like scruff on a guy. I hope they have there will be more than one option for that in the CC. That is not scruff that is a fourteen year old's patchy beard

Been thinking of making one sib a punk type, with weird style and color hair, while the other might come off more as a tattooed/scarred up tough type.The rebel and the bruiser, two twins taking names.
And Alec is just shaking his head in the corner wondering where he went wrong.

I always thought perhaps they don't want the default to be a basis for any CC because it's insulting or degrading to the actual models who gave their faces for the defaults because it's like millions of players demonstrating all the things they'd change about these actual peoples' actual faces

I posted this in the twitter thread, but since the podcast had to do with how Scott was being voiced I'll post the summary here. What is being said here is coming straight from him. Listening to it right now. Sounds very professional. Should give it a listen if you want to learn about his experience/views on being a voice actor especially for Bioware. Just wanted to make note where I'm at in the podcast Tom said something interesting. Posted this above, but to be very clear, linking the podcast here: 0:00-25:00 -He mentions there's a moment where you have to step up to/intimidate a krogan and other tough moments pointing out how Fryda (Sara) delivers these lines almost effortlessly. -It seems that putting on a tough/intimidating tone was a bit difficult for him but one of the directors when he was attempting said "that! that's your tough ryder" or something along those lines. -There's creative separation in their tones that it's going to be somewhat different and that they have to do their own thing. - He's going to play Sara despite any outside confidence people have because 60+ hours of hearing himself he'll always think in the back of his mind he could have done better. He says he is very self critical of himself. He got snippets of other characters' voices and dialogue and notes that they are exceptionally exciting. 25:00+ -Despite considerations of having Tom and Frydda work together due to their good chemistry for the Scott/Sara interactions they never actually worked together on any of it, but early in the process they talked about how they could let the directors know that they worked together in the past and it wasn't until Frydda dropped the news when they heard the story of how the two worked together on a game. -He notes this was very rare due to the heavy isolation in the VA department. The familiarity didn't add too much to the game, but it gave the two encouragement (a competitive type of encouragement) to do well. -Until it was revealed that both were voicing in the same game Tom had to keep it to himself. Although it wasn't too tough to keep it from friends he knew in university that were gamers, when he found out about Frydda it was easier on him as it gave him a sort of outlet when it came to discussing his job. -Tom and Frydda did not help each other in any romantic scene. What was shown in the past were just bits/skits. Conal and the other people at bioware came up with that bit without knowing this sibling rivalry game between them was going on Twitter (ex. Who was born first?). It reduced the awkwardness of the job. They both love the community while being fans themselves. -In the voiceover business he notes some actors would be looking for ways to get an edge to make a quick buck finding ways to take money from others (teaching classes, teaching a new method, a book, or something, taking a class to go to the next level, Who do you trust to do these things for you and be successful?) and notes that his integrity prevented him from doing things like that. He wanted to practice what he preached and see how he can compete as he was a teacher in voice acting, but never actually did it which led him on the career path. -What was it like to record the sex scenes? It was cool...He had to do the sounds for the sequences kissing his hand, heavy breathing, and at the same time doing this to completed animation (means he's watching it happen). Lots of joking while doing this acting, #prettygoodbanging came out of that (how the devs came up with it). "Couple of relationship sequences were just wonderful." Talks about how he had favorite subject/relationship sequences and how they were wonderfully handled. Tastefully handled. Modern sensibilities were set aside. -Working with lines having to do with Vetra, Drack, etc. he had favorite lines and proceeded to follow all the writers. -Absolutely loves the community and how despite what little has been heard and how they haven't even heard all of his work, he was very surprised at the support he got. -He talks about how he sees how the fans connect much more to the companions as opposed to the player character as their voicework is front and center and inspirational/amazing. That the companions will be the one the players hook on to but thanks the players for listening to him and frydda for hours and hours.

I didn't think the other face presets within Mass Effect CC are rly based on live scans

Anyone else headcannoning Sara n Scotts builds? I think Sara would be biotic focused with a sword and an assault rifle/smg. While Scott would be tech and rough n gruff, no biotics, omni blade and like to carry 3 guns(rifle,sniper,shotgun)

Oh wow, I've always imagined the opposite, somewhat. Scott biotic-focused, with an assault-based loadout, while Sara relies more on tech and drones - utilizing a compact pistol, rather than anything too bulky or unwieldy.

It would be nice to have body tattooes as well, since facial ones are not my cup of tea. Of course, having a body tattoo is also rather null, cause the amount of times you be able to actually see it would most likely be very few. Still, it is appreciated roleplaying-wise. When Jack gave my Shepard a tattoo on the back, it was definitely a nice touch.
But yeah, otherwise I am looking forward to Tom Taylorson work as Scott. Already like his voice, and I am sure he will do a good job.

I didn't think the other face presets within Mass Effect CC are rly based on live scans They are though. See the tweet in this article. I don't see why anyone's feelings should be hurt, nor why Bioware should even care about that. They needed faces for their character creator; they know that a lot of players like to create their own protagonist. It's been a staple in their games for a long time.
