Pre-orders (Official Thread)

Preordered the moment it was taking orders. I was getting the largest edition, until I saw DE had everything but the MP dlc. So I downgraded. I also ordered a Tempest T-shirt (should of bought the N7day T-shirt, but I waited too long), as well as Garrus's armor hoodie. So I'll have a nice, warm, hoodie for March while waiting to get my copy ^^

Actually, I don't mind MP, I loved 3's. Just the bonus wasn't all that. I want to try MP but perhaps after my first playthrough. As I've played games with MP before the story, only to spoil a character or story plot. Besides, DE gives 1 or 2 days early MP access, so I'm fine with that.

I hardly ever pre-order. The deluxe and super deluxe versions sound great, but i've always been the type that just casually purchases the game when it comes out or when I get the chance...(bills before thrills and all that..etc)....haha i remember a few years ago, i was hoping for a GOTY edition of ME3 with all of the dlc.....seems they have dismissed that claim....im sure they are making money selling the current dlc separately.

Again tho...i will be happy purchasing the vanilla version and if any interesting dlc drops for it, i will most likely purchase that as well.

Gamestop didn't even have it listed (any version) for PC I doubt that they will sell it. They had X-Box & Playstation, but not PC.

Screw GameStop. I kept trying to pre order it and it kept going to an error page after i put it in my cart. Contacted them about it and got no response. I'll just buy it in the playstation store.

Yeah, I stopped buying at GameStop years ago when Project $10 was a thing and the guy at the store verbally harassed me to try and buy a used copy saying that the code in the used copy will still work and I would be saving money (only $5).  It got so bad that other people left the store.

Unless folk want a limited edition 'toy' (fair enough),
concerns about pre-orders before the release date has even been announced,
may be a little premature?

or people who know without a doubt they will spend money on the boxes due to past experience and just figure that if the pricing stays the same as before those 20 boxes are going to be priced around 60 quid ..... for premium or 40 for veteran either way its going to be well worth the extra tenner on the game price and getting them spread out over 20 weeks as they say in the blurb is to ensure those you don't gain game breaking extras from the start, which tells me there likely N7 grade packs so we can expect somethighn along the lines of a hurricane x by week 20 .....

also I hope they no longer have the random game selector drop you into anything other than the easiest difficulty the first time you fire up the game, its not that I cant play harder difficulties but I tend to like exploring the maps a bit more until I learn where everything is in the slower pace games rather than getting insta gibbed due to load lag ....

I'm hanging off on pre-ordering until they release the system reqs at least. Assuming I make it I'll definitely pre-order because Pyjak.

The problem is even if it is just a simple item it turns into a PR issue with people and websites claiming "EA forces players to buy other games to get bonuses". I am thinking the videos for the Andromeda Initiative is what they are going to for this type of bonus to minimize the ways people will complain about it.
