I did the mistake of reading the Youtube comments. Somehow people got fetch quests, shitty writing, and EAWare from the 5 minute footage. Jesus Christ I think I dodged a bullet by choosing to not be a game dev. At least they remain predictable as always. When they start yelling about something new let me know. I keep going back and watching dat sweet biotic charge. I know I'm gonna have fun with this. |

Ok, color me impressed. They DID take quite a few pages from Inquisition.
And they specified already full new game plus?
And this comes on the heels of halo wars 2 after February?

Oh and dat vanguard charge!
Were there more examples of biotics? That portable shield also falls right in line with the vanguard playstyle
Not to mention that chest high wall/tech armor

I saw a few comments here and there about how the footage is awful, the faces bad, the whatnot horrible... sheesh. Some people really should consider medical intervention to remove that stick. Anyway, back to reality. Loved what I saw. Like every detail lol. I loved how DAI looked and felt (my gripe with it was the same as with most Bioware games... the bugs haha... oh and them "nerfing" stuff because of idiots whinning on the forums, which broke stuff I was enjoying in my single player game for no good reason at all... oh well lol) and this looks the same but better. Plus I do enjoy a good scifi game. There's a shortage of these, what with everything being a fantasy  And as for the faces/facial animations... DAI had one of the best character creators I've seen, limited by the ammount of details added to it (as in number of variations available for each feature - eyes for example or etc). But you can't expect a game, any game, to have a cc that will let you create an infinity of realistic human faces. I know I would love for Bioware to do a cc like the one in Black Desert for example (without the moronic limitations imposed on MALE characters that BD has  ) but I was pretty happy with the DAI cc and I hope MEA will improve on it. Can't wait for the game to launch. The visuals are amazing, as far as I'm concerned, but getting to experience the story and most of all the characters/personalities/interactions/ROMANCES  ... that will be amazing  |

When rewatching the trailer, each time goggle-hair icon shows up , so does Liam. Each time shaggy hair-lips icon shows up, so does Cora. Peebee's and Vetra's is obvious. There is also an icon for the krogan. A lot of heavy hinting by BioWare and Shinobi on NeoGaf about an Andromedan squadmate as well. That leaves one more spot. |

Also from NeoGAF...   she's fugly! Why couldn't they use Scott in these? He's far cuter. I just realized who Sara reminds me of (try and unsee *this* from now on) -- wait for it -- Rodney Dangerfield. She could be the daughter of Rodney Dangerfield.  Like he would say, Sara gets no respect. Either that, or the so-called former head of the Nexus's security should fire the Turian bodyguard for coming within disarming range of a potential threat, also presuming said former head of security hasn't been sloppy herself for making such poor judgment. |

Very nice, thank you for sharing the video  . I liked what I saw, seems like this is going in a good direction. Feels fresh, yet familiar. Combat seems much more dynamic and looks like it might be quite a handful on higher difficulties, that is one of the things I had hoped to see. The vertical movement options offer a lot of potential, should lead to some interesting level designs. It even looks like some varied melee combat options similar to ME3MP may be in store. Now let´s have some story/character and multiplayer trailers next  . |

The visuals look gorgeous and I'm pretty happy overall. I agree with those who thought the combat looked too fast and furious. It all seemed very chaotic and confusing which is not going to be helped by the lack of pause play. I think the combat is probably the thing I'm most concerned about.
Having said that, combat isn't the reason I loved the first three games. It was the story and the characters. I guess I can get used to it.
I really loved the disarm moment. I notice that was an interrupt (text popped up saying Disarm with an R1 next to it and a timer).
The Nomad's steering seemed a bit off to me. Like it was turning without following the wheels sometimes. I could have been imagining it, though!

the gameplay wasn't bad. It was good to not see the asari. I know asari are secretly your favourite species, and Peebee was in the video, several times in the squad and once clearly visible on screen at the Fiend fight section. |

I love how at 2:33 when Ryder comes on the scene, a transport ship lifts off the ground out of sight. So while Ryder engages all of the enemies with Vanguard style frenetic gameplay, you've forgotten all about that transport ship, which didn't fly away but is actually hovering above all the action, and which after Ryder has cleared the field, out of nowhere, drops a couple of Hydras. Surprise! I guess this is what it means in part when someone from Bioware interviewed spoke about enemies attacking you from not just horizontal but also vertical ranges. While Ryder was focused on the horizontal, there was a vertical surprise we'd forgotten all about after the transport ship lifted off and out of eyesight.
