Looking at the images, I don't like how low resolution a lot of the characters and textures look. I'd say perhaps it is just pre-polish, but the video says that is representative of the game.

Reyes, thought he was Spanish.  The accent doesn't sound Spanish at all though. I was actually surprised when she said "Reyes." I thought it sounded French. But now that I think about it, it does have that "fake" pseudo-Eastern European quarian sound to it. That's the second time I've seen that it's "Reyes" and that he's supposed to be Spanish/latino. Is this some confirmed human character I don't know about? Not trying to argue, I'm honestly curious. |

I probably should have posted here, rather than the twitter thread. Here is a repost of my first reaction: I will need to re-watch, of course, but I didn't really see any "team" play. In other words, did I miss shots where any companions were with the protag during the actual skirmishes? It all looked like Ryder was fighting alone....
And some asked for salt? Got some.....not hopeful about how well I can survive the gameplay part. I suck at fast paced action. Expect to die often. Easy mode it is.   (granted, I know this is all on me. Others will have no problem with the gameplay speed. Still hoping pause and play might make a comeback in a later game.  )I saw squadmates in some sequences. Okay...watched again, and paused the vid a lot. Yup! I see them now.  (the squaddies, that is) Sniper may be my go-to mode. Loved playing sniper in 1 & 2.  |

Yeah, watched it again, and the guy was definitely human shaped. I wouldn't rule out the quarians necessarily though. The guy you talk to while you do the scanning thing sounds like he might be quarian from the accent, and his name is Rayas which is kinda quarianish, maybe? Might just be me getting my hopes up, as I really want a male quarian squadmate Reyes, thought he was Spanish. He sounded a lot like Jon Curry (aka Zevran Arainai). Also, in one of the shots of the marketplace (??), there looked like a quarian. (and no, I don't mean the 'roided out dudes, with some quarian like features). Will try and take a screensnap of what I am talking about. Agreed that the female outlaw sounds like Indira Varma.  |

It looks absolutely amazing and the gameplay appears to be fast paced, something I was hoping for. I hope that the character development is just as good as the game looks.

The combat has some serious Inquisition vibes going on tho I'm glad to see sniping's still there and you can spawn cover. Wonder how that'll work on uneven ground?
I'd say "I'm sure they'll fix the facial animations!" but DAI had this thing where your MC would display an emotion and then have their face locked into that emotion for the rest of the dialogue so I'm not actually sure they will.
