ME:A - The Video Game Awards Gameplay Video

That's the second time I've seen that it's "Reyes" and that he's supposed to be Spanish/latino. Is this some confirmed human character I don't know about? Not trying to argue, I'm honestly curious.

The new aliens at 1:11 directly in front of Sara and then again at 1:17 as she's making a left turn (they're on the right side while she's making a left) appear to have the same band across their eyes as Peebee. In fact, the couple at 1:17 looks like a new alien talking with an Asari. So I'm thinking, is Peebee the daughter of an Asari and one of these new aliens?

Obviously the development is on a tightrope right now; there's missing sounds, jankiness and all, but really, I'm pleasantly surprised by the dynamics and flow of the game.

I have long been against Mass Effect going too shooty bang bang, and I never thought they went too far with the trilogy except maybe ME3, but if they had to go all out with it, better to do it with a completely fresh and original combat style. The closest thing that springs to mind is InFamous Second Son honestly, and that's not even close to what this looks like.

Also cutscenes look great, dialogue wheel is A-ok. Very disappointed with how bad default femRyder looks in facial animations, or just the animations in general and also a lot of the default running and stuff reminds me of KOTOR again for some reason. There's definitely work to be done there if I have anything to say about it but overall, I fucking love what this is shaping up to be, believe it or not.

Only concern I have is that this is so different from the old Mass Effect that... I mean, it almost didn't feel like Mass Effect to me just in how colorful and almost cartoony it is at times and you have that tribe-boy "Liquid MGSV" sitting on a throne... hmm. I really like it but it seems more like some other IP than Mass Effect... and I'm still okay with that honestly, just pointing it out.

But yeah, cat's outta the bag, either this game ships super rushed in spring 2016 or there is that inevitable delay coming, cuz boy, was assets, optimization LOTS of polish missing here.

But kudos for showing a Game Over sequence as part of the footage. That's too awesome, and an aknowledgement that this is a game and not just a linear narrative.

Coming down the stairs during the dialogue? Or after the stairs? I'm looking but I don't see a quarian.
