I wonder if she'll be like the "Garrus" of the group; an easy to like alien that felt human. Garrus was one of the only two aliens I actually liked. So far I get this vibe from her and I hope I'm right. From what I gathered she comes off as rather cold until you crack through the shell.

As much as I really want to have the possibility to develop a serious long-lasting romantic relationship with Vetra, I would also very much like it, if she starts off as rather reluctant towards Ryder so that there is a lot of time needed for slow but steady developelent of such relationship. I wouldn't like it, if she jumped on you just after having a few random flirty chats with her.

Hello, new here. I was pretty prominent on the BSN until shortly after ME3's release. Was around on the old ME2 forum before that as well. Great to now find a forum like this .
Vetra is about the only thing I am excited about as far as ME:A goes as I got a thing for turian girls.

Prove that we care about her in more than one way. I think even a mild racism and ~hate (eh, more like initial dislike) could be fitting. First contact war was 20something years ago. Shep had dealings with military and police people so it was natural, but maybe the 'civilians' just have these 'weird aliens' preconceptions about other races. An organic trust-building arc would be nice. While I liked the loyalty/DA companion missions I think ME1 did a better job. The missions were better in 2, I mean the talking, get-to-know-them parts.

Liam's voice was not at all what I was expecting. I guess there was a small part of me that figured he'd have an accent, since the name Liam typically isn't super American, but I never thought it'd be so deep. He sounds intense in that briefing, lol. Especially as the group "Idealist". Well that's because Liam isn't a American he's English born in London.

Guess what I found. Vetra could attack me like that anytime. But quickly the predator would turn into a victim

I'm actually not all that into Garrus, personally. He's an okay bro, but I never wanted to take it any further than that. I just like turian women. In fact, I don't understand people's need to connect Garrus and Vetra. It's plausible that they met certainly, but I don't see this whole "she's the one he fucked way back then" appeal. Cos all Turians know one another, silly. Agree with the Garrus bit, he was my best bro tho but I just couldn't fuck him, I just couldn't. Anyway, have some Sara/Vetra art... sauce

Vetra and Sara, simultaneously in thought: The sex is gonna be ah- mazing.

I love this. I like the idea of actually feeling some hostility about the first contact war and having to prove yourself worthy. I do think Vetra will he one of the harder romances but well worth the effort.

I'm more inclined to believe, that Vetra as someone who had to deal with pirates/mercenaries/smugglers ect learned not to trust anyone, so she won't trust Ryder at the beginning aswell. Earning her trust and respect might be a lot of fun, like making a choice that is damaging for your own race, but beneficial to turians ect.

You know how prejudice is passed down from the parents, but yea totally agree about Vetra not trusting anyone. Gah I want this game now!

She heard the stories, the humans are the new arrivals, they are bullies, want everything, complain, etc. Met a few in her adventures, good ones and total jerks too. At the start and about 1/3 of the romance (meeting, flirting etc) she's on the fence about Scott. Ah I rather not think about it any longer, too much hype. I have a feeling that hers will be the highlight romance of the game.

Id be fine with Alec Ryder being racist towards Turians and Vetras dad being racist towards humans.
Then Ryder n Vetra hookup and from seeing how they love each other there cold hearts melt

Or instead of parents reacting, Ryder and the alien love interest go into a Nexus bar for fun and drinks. After they have fun they leave and are stopped by some drunk humans. Who hurl obsinitys and you can decide to beat them up or just walk away. Afterwords you and your romance talk about it and how you decided to respond.

I know they won't do this but if you could decide what happens to the council at the end of ME1 that would greatly impact alien hostility towards humanity. That would create some cool dynamics.
