Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect Andromeda, SWTOR, Mass Effect Legendary Edition
They destroyed Luke's character. I know he said that he had a moment of weakness when he drew his lightsaber on Ben but the Luke Skywalker I grew up with would never go into hiding or give up on Ben. After half the crap Vader knowingly did he never gave up on trying to redeem him, especially when Rey and Snoke could sense conflict in Ben.
I've read that they're adding a lot more of the EU...I'm sorry....I read that they're adding a lot more of the legends stories and characters into the official canon soon. They probably planned this before but it is funny how that was announced after the fan backlash from episode 8. I'm still holding out hope for KOTOR and TFU to become official again. Kotor at least. They seem to have taken a lot of TFU stuff and spread it out over Rebels and the current trilogy.
Rebels is great show and the new series being developed has me intrigued. I'm actually more excited about the tv shows than I am about the movies.

Being completely honest with you, seeing how the Star Wars saga is going... I think I mostly prefer that KOTOR remains where it is and maybe even be it's own universe. (even if this isn't possible)
Ryan Johnson knows nothing when it comes to SW fans..
And ether dose Abrams because all he did was rip off A New Hope, talk about being lazy. He might be good at film direction, coming up with an original idea? Not so much.

Yeah sw does not have very good director's, George Lucas included.
Some fans clearly are threatened by women. Granted saying such a thing is a bit blunt and inaccuarate considering people aren't threatened by women, they just like em barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen -or- exhibiting oddly masculine traits. Some of the commentary in this thread and the 'no women' cut of the Last Jedi proves that some fans don't view their attempts at writing complicated female characters with great enthusiasm.
B. For those of us who liked TLJ this is likely welcome news. Granted a lot can change between now and whenever the heck Episode IX comes out BUT this is some small indication that he will not retcon the big plot decisions in TLJ. Which, is the more important of the news to bring up from the news, however I figured I would address the women comments anyways.

Complicated? Rey complicated? Oh yes, totally. And also that no women cut of sw was so totally a troll, it was oblivious. He just gave attention to a troll, which is what the troll wants in the first place, lmao.

Yes, Rey.

No it's an excuse for directors to fall back on when faced with controversy. Sure there are some fans who are sexist, but there are major problems that many have with Rey and the other female characters. Things that you seem to ignore when people talk about them.
In the same way that every mess is. One director set up the heritage theme and suggested that she's connected to everything that's going on in some big way. Next director threw all of this away and didn't set up anything instead. Now we're 2 movies in and we have no clue who the main character is and what are her motivations. It's certainly complicated, but not because directors wanted to create a complex female character in a space opera, but because they have no coherent vision where are they going with it.
Of course J.J still might make sense of it in the last episode, but I wouldn't count on it.
