....this is Star Wars. Its always been SJW.
Also let's knock off the personal attacks, please. For it's time? Maybe not SJW, but certainly progressive, yes. I mean, Leia bossing around Han? Saying that she is in charge?

For it's time? Maybe not SJW, but certainly progressive, yes. I mean, Leia bossing around Han? Saying that she is in charge? Princesses gonna princess? Also, "No bras in space", two women and one black guy in the entire galaxy (OT). Which funnily enough were not at all token or there to just fill a diversity quota. And then of course there's the prequels, starring these guys: So no, Star Wars was not ever "SJW" or "progressive" in the way those words are used, which is usually nothing pleasant. I would agree that Star Wars did it right however when it comes to stuff like race, or gender. Black administrator or Jedi Master? Ain't no thing. Women in charge/heads of State? No one cares. In a world with muppets and GCI monsters, no one would bat an eye at skin color or what you've got between your legs. As it should be, even without muppets and GCI monsters.

I'm not sure what the problem is with Lando being pansexual. Is it the fact there are news stories about it or the fact that he is? Because shameless flirts who come on to absolutely everything that moves is kind of a stable of that bar fly archetype Landos character plays into and there is nothing in the OT that directly contradicts it being true. So apart from the usual sjw whargarble that seems to be the go to defence here what is the actual in-universe problem with Lando being pan? Nothing at all. I hope the movie delivers on the tease...

Precisely, which is yet another reason that episode 8 was so fucking bizarre. Why did K. Kennedy et al feel it was so crucial to shoe-horn in all the feminist horseshit no matter the cost? Even if it was at the expense of a decent/logical script? Goddamn it, there was NO NEED! We had Ahsoka! Remember her? We didn't need an angry feminazi Admiral or a chubby mechanic with awful dialogue. They could have been replaced by ACTUAL plot-centric stuff... Ugh this entire franchise needs an enema

For what it's worth, here's a layman's short review of the Chewbacca movie from elsewhere in cyberspace. He's an acquaintance of mine, from the Netherlands and a bit older than I (mid 40s) Mr. S: It's so damn hard to say anything about it without spoilers. Let's just say... The first 10-15 minutes, I wasn't sure. But after that, I think it improved dramatically. Great acting performances, and a solid story. Mr. S: Also, go and see it in 3D. I felt I really missed out on some great visual experiences because I 2D'd it. I have to see it again at the IMAX, and at least another time to make a proper assessment. But did I enjoy it? Yes. Was it better than TLJ? Yes. Was it better than Rogue One? Quite possibly. Wow Mr. S: Was it predictable? Yes. But then again, I'm good at predicting things in movies. However! Even though I knew things were coming, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story.

We had Ahsoka! Remember her? I wish I didn't. My point is Star Wars had plenty of strong female characters before ep. 8 We could have had a decent sequel trilogy...

Initially I was disappointed Billy Dee wasn't contacted to appear in TFA or TLJ but now that they've completely exposed themselves as the overt SJW shills they are, I'm glad he wasn't involved in this weirdo sorcery that is Soy Wars. Hold that W, Billy D.

If Billy Dee reprised his role in TLJ, he would be introduced as the bartender at Canto due to him being massively in debt, likes to fuck frying pans, and dies after being killed by his wife's son.

My point is Star Wars had plenty of strong female characters before ep. 8 We could have had a decent sequel trilogy... Nomi Sunrider, Natasi Daala, Verge, Jaina, Leia (EU Leia was a competent force user), An'ya Kuro, and Darth Zannah too. There's more but we lost a lot of good characters that Disney could have used. I still can't understand them making Lando a pansexual. I'll be damned if i eat something he cooked out of one of his pots and pans.

Yeah, nothing like a complete de-evolution of his whole character arc back to where he was in ESB for the sake of good cinema eh RJ? Although that technically already has happened, what with General Calrissian being one of the "Resistance Allies" to snub Liea's call for help.

I suppose I hope they'll use such characters they did 'better' then they did Luke in TLJ. But how they did use Luke does give me a fair bit of confidence.
