Concerning the ships, they don't build them like they used to any more. Interesting how this single dreadnought is symptomatic of the myriad of problems sprinkled throughout the Last Dumpster Fire

I didn't see myself watching so much Last Jedi tonight. Mark Hamil kicked so much acting ass in this movie.

I actually started up KOTOR for the first time in like seven to ten years the other day.
._. Ran into all those lovely glitches and bugs on the Xbox One Emulation of the game, but it still holds up pretty good.

So, The Clone Wars happened where R2D2 and Anakin are such good buddies, then Vader shot R2 in the head during the trench run... - Did those two ever speak again? (Vader and R2D2 on the Blockade Runner at the beginning of ANH. Vader and R2 both on Bespin in ESB) - Did R2D2 ever tell Luke about Anakin or Padme, since it spent considerable time with both? (Looks like R2 showed some vids in Legends novels en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Swarm_War ) - Did R2D2 ever have to deal with its own conflicting, er, emotions when it was revealed that Vader and Anakin were the same? Hmm... maybe that is why R2D2 decided to shut down during TFA, too much family drama and homicidal betrayal to deal with.

(Looks like R2 showed some vids in Legends novels en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Swarm_War ) That's about the only time I can recall tbh I know the droid would occasionally ramble on about stuff relating to the prior generation, but it wasn't very often and it usually happened near to, during or post Second Galactic Civil War. A bit during the Vong War but most of this shit came a long time after a whole bunch of the EU was already written and done.

I assumed that because both the Dark Nest trilogy and RoTS were released in 2005, the R2D2 not talking about Anakin or Padme situation was just movie synergy because the writers weren't sure about the state of R2D2's memory bank, and or allowed to write about that subject matter until the trilogy's climax.

Indeed unlike 3PO, R2 knows to keep his trap shut as I don't think the Astromech has had a memory wipe since before the Naboo crisis. Droids are supposed to have memory wipes on a regular basis but from what we know R2 hasn't had one in a very long time.

Jen really outdid himself with this vid, this is by far one of the better analysis's done on Exar Kun by a wide stretch.
He rates Kun as a naturally solid and capable warrior but it was only due to the gathering of ancient Sith Talismans and his own delving into sorceries that allowed him to compete at the big kid's table.
Also worth noting is that I actually agree with the basic premise of the scaling done in the video, where you had the classifications of Force Users broken down.
Note I also agree with Kun's placement at 1.5 because while he was no Darth Bane or Sidious he was capable of amazing feats via ritual, alchemy and magic.
Also just my two cents? He's by far the best duel blader ever featured in the Universe just due to his wide facet of features, of which Jen goes into some depth about during the video. Though I'd personally not be as overly critical as Jen in some of his comparisons, for example he cites several times over that Kun is a man with many skills and tricks to make up for him mastering none of them. This I'd disagree with given that Niman in its basest form is the incorporation of the Force into Lightsaber sequences, and in his bare style I'd argue he mastered it.
Its just the style naturally lacks depth just to how wide it spreads the user.
Still solid video and probably my favorite vid featuring Kun period.

This actually raises something that has been troubling me about Star Wars - these massive Imperial ships in the movies that only ever act as transports and platforms for turbo-lasers, except for the Dreadnaught in TLJ which at least blew up the Resistance ground base. They show up in elaborate scenes just to capture frigates, launch probes and fighters, lose the Millennium Falcon (twice?), and get blown up by kamikaze fighters. "Star Destroyers" indeed! All that said, I will admit that SW technology has a lot of flaws, like the fact that the bridge on certain capital ships is so laughably exposedlarge Star Destroyers and I'd assume most capital ships have secondary CIC's and Command Decks. Not to mention that the Star Destroyer have most of its deflectors angled frontward so you do have to punch through the thickest portion of their shield to actually strike the bridge.

Star Destroyers and I'd assume most capital ships have secondary CIC's and Command Decks. Not to mention that the Star Destroyer have most of its deflectors angled frontward so you do have to punch through the thickest portion of their shield to actually strike the bridge. As long as the shields are up that will not happen. The particle shielding would prevent a strike by another craft, it'd just splatter against the physical shielding of the vessel rather then the shielding designed to absorb and deflect blaster fire. Note that most capital shield grade particle shields can withstand asteroid impacts and suffer little to no damage, so a X-Wing or what have you wouldn't not even cause a dent. Again the bridge of a Star Destroyer is better protected then you apparently are aware. Does it present a potential target? Yes, but at the same time the bridge mast is shaped that way for a reason, it has the fire control, navigation and internal system control centers within it with the bridge on top. The additional space required within the vessel itself to fit these systems would pretty much add at least another 5th to the ship's length and displacement.

(I only read the 1st book, lost interest for whatever reason) It's been 12 years since i read them but you had the right idea when stopping after Joiner King. The issues with the DNT is that it's characterizations were inconsistent from the NJO books, it meanders too long for a conflict that seems like a filler episode before the Legacy of The Force series. If you want to read them for the sake of lore and is not wasting money doing so, do it, but if you lost interest after Joiner King skip on to Swarm War while wookiepedia'ing The Unseen Queen.

Star Wars is dead and nö öne cares aböut it anymöre. Someone forgot to hit the nails in the coffin proper and now they don't know what to do and everything and it's mother tries the beejebus to sell the remaining relics to a core fanbase and a dwindling popular audience. With less and less people giving a fuck it'll eventually die down and annualy someone will come and pull out the rotten cadaver for clicks.
