Looks like a Salarian to me. Don't think they'd have an Andromedan alien on board when they've literally just reached their first golden world.

Looks like Reyes wasn't in this one. But I did love the Avengers reference! Now that we've seen Liam, do you think he was the one Ryder past? His hair seemed longer in the trailer than in the sneak peek.

Nice catch! He certainly matches the description Daveliam's friend was talking about... and he looks 99.9% done with the bullshit which I can appreciate. 

Out of curiosity, what are the next briefing videos? From what I remember there is a "colony establishment" which will likely be talking about the settlements and hubs. Then combat tactics?? My money is that we may see Reyes either discussing resources we can mine from the settlements or how the Pathfinder's scanner/omni-tool/Sam can pinpoint what weapon or ammo spec can do the most damage on Andromedian wildlife/inhabitants. All we've had so far is "Introduction," "Arc and Nexus," "Ship and Nomad," and now the Pathfinder team introduction. 

Even if he doesn't show up it could still mean that he's a semi big deal though. We haven't seen Drax, Vetra, or Peebee in a briefing. My theory so far is that something goes wrong with the other arcs, forcing the other species arcs to move into the Human arc, causing huge supply shortages (and food Turian's can eat) and lack of living space. So the Pathfinder is in a rush to deal with that shit, while also dealing with the fact that their dad is missing. Maybe Reyes isn't too important to be seen leading or involved in a briefing until he becomes a big deal using scanners to fix food shortages and stuff like that.

I originally thought that he was a security officer, but I'm definitely converted to the idea of him being a scientist. What if he's not a "scientist" but more of a social psychologist? Could be that he wrote the protocols and worked with Sara Ryder on the sociology of Prothean society. He decides to embark to Andromeda to research cool species.

have to say, right now, jaal looks much more like a LI for Sara than Reyes :/

Well, the good news with no new info: he's still a contender for my SysRider as an LI (if he's available) and as a buddy to my BroRyder.
