Reyes Vidal - No longer A Mystery (Official Thread)

Cool. I totally knew about.. some of those, anyway, but had forgotten. But yeah, I could see them bringing back optional squadmates in MEA2. In MEA I feel like it wouldn't make sense because we're not really in a position to turn down help - what with the situation being so dire, and Ryder being so young and untested.

I would be so down for "Riley," especially if this Easter Egg happened. 

Ryder: Reyes, my name is Scott/Sara/Ryder. How the hell do you get to keep your damn name and I get "Riley?" 
Reyes: I'm sorry, I'm so used to it by now. Do you know how many people want to push me aside to talk about how a smuggler like me wound up with a winner like you?
Ryder: You're more than that, for lots of obvious reasons, Mr. Vidal.... But seriously, who lets calls someone by a completely different name on purpose. Jeez.

Writing for video games would be a dream, for sure. Bioware would be radical, especially, haha especially since I really like working with dialogue. (But not working on actual writing, because I'm lazy lmao)

Jeez, I'm really starting to think Reyes just has a thing for liaisons in closets. HAHA!

On a sidenote, can we talk about the fan art trend to depict Reyes with messy hair?

I played through with my pretty Sara Ryder, and I want to replay it as my Scott Ryder to see the differences. My Scott and Reyes would be so cute together, since Scott looks like he was stolen from a Metal Gear game. (I got some intense eyeshadow, gnarly scars, and "canon" cybernetic eyes.)

Yup a lot of them come from Tumblr and they all look freaking fantastic!! I appreciated the Cullen mod from afar where two locks of hair fell onto his forehead. There would probably come a point where it would bother me, but idk, it looked more realistic.

I mean they really try to sell you on the fact that he is smitten, but there is no emails, no more conversations, or anything! Like Reyes would harass you with adorable emails and be mad at you when you pulled stupid shit. I also feel like since we were pivotal in the decision of who rules, I'd like more on Kadara's progress from the man himself. (As a side note, it would be kickass if Sloane did something similar.) I'd also be completely into a kiss scene like with Cullen's in Dragon Age, where you could just hit an option like "I just wanted to see you."

Oh boy, the "have a kiss whenever you want" thing with Cullen was trouble. I don't even want to think about the collective time that sapped for me.

Oh, I'd have liked such an option well. Even without it, I spent way too much time clicking on him, just to hear him say "Vhenan..."

It's in the dialogue where they are talking about Lexi never taking time off. Lexi is asking Ryder about how they balance being both the Pathfinder and being Scott/Sara. Might depend on the dialogue option you pick, but Ryder says something like how they don't let the title define them around friends and family, and Lexi interjects "Reyes?" 

Implying Ryder likes taking the night off with Reyes to just be themselves I guess?

I can imagine Reyes and Liam clashing a bit, yeah. 

I'd like a chance to take Reyes out for a change, it's only fair. Once the vaults have been activated for water purification, he and Ryder could go skinny-dipping in a hot spring, like the baths on Iceland. They could use the mist to cover strategic spots in cutscenes. Aaand it would be an acknowledgement that progress has been made with the viability percentages.

The right option for Lexi's comment is the heart option on dialogue wheel.

Does Lexi mention every LI there? I figured she probably did, but I've only completed one playthrough so far. I assume SAM does as well.

She mentions all the LIs on the Tempest and Reyes. The only LIs she doesn't mention are Avela and Keri.
