I like how the targeting sight is showing you the cooldowns for your 3 abilities...

Yeah, the Biotics look great... Though I agree there is a distinct lack of impact with the Biotic Charge, but hope that's something that's still being worked on. Well the biotic charge is hitting shielded enemies. If I remember right (been a long time since I played) it did that in ME2 and ME3 to armored or shielded enemies as well. Good call on the shields. The muted effects could be a conscious choice on their part. The Vanguard did need to be reined in a bit. The less dramatic stagger could be representative of that. This could also be a low-level evolution of the power, as I think someone may have mentioned above.

I'd strongly prefer to shoot with the trigger, and move powers to the bumpers.

I've played games where they've done weird stuff like move the "shoot" button to the bumper between games. I can't recall which series it was that did this and annoyed the hell out of me. Let's hope this was just one possible controller setup, like you've said.

A well used biotic charge is always appealing for the eye.

It's fun to see all the little things return that we'd discussed months ago. I remember discussing the visual distortions created by biotic powers in ME1, and how we missed those. Ian was lurking in that thread, and I'm sure he was thinking, "Yep. Got that covered." Biotic Aegis looks pretty darn useful. Biotic Charge/Vanguard still looks OP (at least in that video)! Every power looked great. I saw Engineer powers that finally looked awesome, and I've not been able to get into the ME2/3 Engineer. As much as I have always loved biotics, I saw some stuff that really makes me want to try a "heavy" Infiltrator/Engineer-type build. We'll see what happens. The Pathfinder's respec ability opens many doors. I'm starting to think the respec on the fly might be amazing now after seeing all those awesome Engineer/Sentinel skills....I was always going to go Vanguard heavy on a first playthrough but some of those moves looked too good to pass up! That biotic pull into the turret....so good

I've always played Infiltrator because I love my sniper rifles, but that biotic charge would make for an excellent GTFO button where you go through your enemies to get to your next perch. I'm gonna love mixing and matching all those powers.

It looks great. But I always loved how they did the biotics in the ME series. Well, in ME1 more than 2 and 3 (where awesome powers like Lift were turned into awesome blue potatoes you were throwing at people to create various effects, but whatevs )

Sure ME1 was broken but casting an aoe nemesis lift was so much more fun than a lame area pull projectile... And the singularity casting and sound/visual effect was so much cooler in ME1 than the lame blue sticky projectile balls that tend to do nothing outside of priming for a biotic explosion... Ok the "toilet" would never flush with ME1 singularity, but it was still more satisfying to use even with being overpowered.

Now the more important question is, what tools will BioWare give the other archetypes in order to compete with the Jetpack/Charge combo that seems to get the most synergy out of this new feature? I don't know about other classes, but imagine using time dilation on a cloaked sniper to pick off enemies over cover while jumping in slow motion. I could see some potential for awesomeness there.

Thought the biotic shield and such were awesome. Boitics have always looked impressive to me tbh even in the original trilogy. Thinking of playing a female Biotic myself for my first run of the game. Anyone who messes with my lady Ryder will find themselves flying into the bulkhead.

I think one of my favorite moments was using the charge to basically teleport up to the tower. That looks like it would add some fun to the strategic aspect of combat. Although I did wonder what happens to my allies when one zips around the battlefield.

Although I did wonder what happens to my allies when one zips around the battlefield. They run around everywhere like headless chickens. That's what they were doing in ME2 and ME3 when I was playing a Vanguard. Also, I'm so happy that charging on higher ground is supported now. I hated getting stuck or "charging in place" in the previous games when the location was considering "unreachable" which was basically anything not on ground level right in front of you.

Ms. Kaira Stirling? Yeah, she has it coming. I usually hit her entire group with a singularity. All that's left afterward is the green dust left behind by the victims of polonium rounds; that, and some rearranged furniture.

I don't understand which button will be mapped to shooting either. Triggers are still for shooting, Powers are actually mapped to the bumpers (L / R / L+R). OMG, I will absolutely HATE this. Having to spam bumpers instead of buttons is very fatiguing on the hand, wrist and forearm. For DAIMP you could end up with one power on a bumper and the others on the buttons. It is one reason I hate playing the bard zither, he is all bumper activate. This is going to suck so hard.
