Yes, but I think they should tone down the amount of colorful 'breeze' those skills generated upon casting. At times, I had a sensation of obscured vision when too much flashy stuff was happening on the screen.
All-in-all, those mechanics will serve great purpose in COOP.

Now the more important question is, what tools will BioWare give the other archetypes in order to compete with the Jetpack/Charge combo that seems to get the most synergy out of this new feature?
There has to be some new abilities or upgrades that will allow the other kits like the Soldier, Engineer, Adept, Infiltrator, and Sentinel to remain viable choices. After all, the new Vanguard is practically a perpetual pinball with the jetpack boosts/jumps and the biotic charge, there has to be some incentive to want to go with the other classes and stay (relatively) immobile.
P.S. Does anyone wonder if the jetpack is going to be the same across the board for the other classes and species in MP? I personally am hoping for a bit of diversity in regards to that mechanic; especially when it comes to playing as something like a Krogan for example. It would just seem a little ridiculous if the Krogan will be able to dance around the map as quickly and dexterously as your humans and asari can.

It's fun to see all the little things return that we'd discussed months ago. I remember discussing the visual distortions created by biotic powers in ME1, and how we missed those. Ian was lurking in that thread, and I'm sure he was thinking, "Yep. Got that covered."
Biotic Aegis looks pretty darn useful. Biotic Charge/Vanguard still looks OP (at least in that video)! Every power looked great. I saw Engineer powers that finally looked awesome, and I've not been able to get into the ME2/3 Engineer. As much as I have always loved biotics, I saw some stuff that really makes me want to try a "heavy" Infiltrator/Engineer-type build. We'll see what happens. The Pathfinder's respec ability opens many doors.

I didn't like how charge seemed to convey no impact when smashing into an enemy. It looked good, but there was no sense of impact like there was in ME2 and 3. Maybe he's using a lower level charge or something, but to me it seemed weak. I think this complaint goes with combat overall. combat looks good, but slight details seem to be missing, like the enemies not reacting to the fact they're set on fire. It seemed BW skipped over fine detail again.

I just watched the scene in slow motion and the sharpshooter was with full shields when charge hits him, them he staggers for one moment while losing a bit more than half of his shield. But yeah seems like there was still a few things to be implemented. I don't remember for exemple hearing the sound of shots fired from the revenant. But combat seems solid so far.

That vanguard clip looked amazing and so much more intense....will I be able to create a version of my Phoenix Vanguard?.... ....my smashing abilities would be.......legendary!... I also noticed how BC basically caused no reaction....hopefully they will tighten things up in the coming months...the action seemed a bit more fast-paced, but i think one of the devs stated hat this was how they wanted to improve combat and that you could use practically any organic object for cover. Not that you would generically go into an area with barriers set-up for cover. It looks like they want to take a more natural approach to combat....the combat did look a bit frantic and I barely saw where your teammates were, but everything looks good.

The biotic shield does look cool - I've been hoping they'd include something like that.
I also saw Pull used once in the trailer - glad that's back.
Although I'm a bit disappointed to see the return of separate Armour and Health system which likely means some enemies will be flat out immune to biotics with no possibility to charge up energy to overcome the threshold for their effective mass.

If I'm understanding you correctly, I wouldn't assume this. ME2/3 each had protected enemies that weren't immune once properly stripped. Too many unprotected foes gets ridiculous. If most of ME3's combos are still effective, even protected foes aren't overly safe. We also don't know on which "difficulty setting" this game was being played, if the settings are truly implemented yet. There are likely ways to tweak them more to your preference, though maybe not exactly so. They heard us regarding ME3 being a cakewalk, so I expect MEA to be noticeably more challenging. Hopefully, it's accomplished via better enemy AI and the like, rather than just damage soaking. They appear to be approaching it from this angle.

Hopefully, it's accomplished via better enemy AI and the like, rather than just damage soaking. They appear to be approaching it from this angle. I think you misunderstand me - I mean armour as the base layer - no "stripping" to access health in order to cc. In ME2 sure you could strip armour to get to health on a YMIR mech, but in ME3 the atlas had armour as their base layer making them immune to anything outside of stagger. This is artificial limitation on gameplay in my opinion, when ideally it ought to be possible to build up enough energy for one biotic attack to say lift it off the floor - at the expense of a much larger cooldown penalty and recovery system. Same goes for so many enemies in ME3MP - banshees, ravagers, brutes, praetorians, atlas, geth prime... a player who builds specifically for maximum biotic power should be able to perform a feat like lifting or stasising a banshee for example with the tradeoff of longer recovery time so it's not spammable. It would provide more scope for creative and deeper gameplay. Being limited to only stagger those enemies with biotics is a bit... poor. Edit: to clarify I had supported the idea for a continuous "effective" mass system for enemy hitpoints, merging all armour and innate biotic damping mechanics into one hitpoint bar (because armour and health is an arbitrary separation) - with mass thresholds needing to be overcome in order to throw or lift or stasis an enemy for increasing durations or amounts of force (or DoTs like warp doing more damage over a continuous scale) which could be modified on the fly by the player through a biotic energy bar and power charging system supported by a static skill evolution system.

Yeah, the Biotics look great... Though I agree there is a distinct lack of impact with the Biotic Charge, but hope that's something that's still being worked on.

Well the biotic charge is hitting shielded enemies. If I remember right (been a long time since I played) it did that in ME2 and ME3 to armored or shielded enemies as well.

That's a good point, I wasn't even looking at the barrier bar. But even against those, you would cause them to stagger back for a couple of seconds.
