As long as the sibling is allowed to live, it will be better than we got with the "extra" twin in Dragon Age 2. I felt bad for Bethany always getting her brains bashed in, but I played mage more than warrior or rogue, so I always had Carver. 😁 It will be interesting to see if sibling treatment is similar to what we got in DA2. If so, I would be fine with that as I loved DA2. It was a great game for barely having a year of development time... ,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸-(_MEA_)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸
I prefer Beth over whiny Carver. Too bad DA2 did not permit two mage sisters in the game at the same time.
Interesting that when i don't like a character, I don't play him/her and therefore lose out on dialogue.
I hated Carver so much the first few playthroughs I did, but if you give his character a chance, he's actually really awesome. I had him as close to full friendship as possible and he's a very nice and devoted brother. For a FemHawke anyway. I actually found Bethany to be more whiny and bitter...especially if you make her a warden. Oh boy! Her complaining never ends. 😂

Do you have a link? Also, broRyder doesn't look like he could successfully pull off solo missions either.

Interesting idea but I doubt it's going to happen.
If it does, I certainly approve of it though. Adding side-characters based on the sibling you play for squad mates is actually a neat way to add replayability. Plus you can still utilize that character for the other sibling without making them super story-dependent.

Historically, mutually exclusive characters tend to suffer when they have interchangable stand-ins.

Historically, mutually exclusive characters tend to suffer when they have interchangable stand-ins. I don't mean stand-ins though. Hypothetical. Let's say Liam was for the male Ryder only, and Cora was female Ryder. Liam would be a squad-mate while Cora does logistics on the ship, sort of a Samantha Traynor-style of interaction. Cora goes into the field while Liam does boot camp training and armory management like Steve Cortez. The differences is they both have a backstory/interactivity but one happens to be a squadmate, the other doesn't. You can do this in ways where the content is still rich. You want to use the Krogan as a squadmate, you need to pick male Ryder, if you want to use the Turian, pick female. It doesn't change their presence in the game, just changes their function. I can see something like that happening.=, with a generic character replaces them in that function and people are none the wiser. I doubt it will in Andromeda, but it is an interesting way to make the cast a bit bigger without sacrificing squad or game balance.

My educated guess is sibling will have their own missions. 1) Bio has made it sound like sibling has a huge impact on the story 2) There's that artwork of sibling training with PC and Liam. Sis probably knows how to fight also. That artwork might not rapresenting the Ryders. If definitely doesn't represent Liam since his hairs are different, based on his icon. The devs tweeted both siblings were trained to eventually become pathfinders. We don't know if the one we don't pick is still capable of going on missions. Artwork doesn't necessarily represent the final game though, Dorian was white in art that was officially released before the game came out and in earlier in-game screenshots Josephine had a different hairstyle that what she ended up with.

I think the sibling will be the main antagonist for this game or maybe for the next game... I'd like to take on the sibling's squad with my own and wipe them out.

If I roll a femRyder but like the krogan and want him to be on missions, I'd be irked immensely that he's unavailable simply because I picked one out of a pair of characters that are themselves interchangeable in the story. Even if they still exist somewhere in the game, changing their function does essentially significantly alter their presence in the game.

My Sara will definitely be gangster enough to successfully pull off solo missions. Not sure about her pretty boy brother though. He kinda looks like a wimp My Shepard held her own pretty well too, with or without her squaddies. The fact that she wore actual armor instead of a catsuit probably helped a smidge. Just had to put that out there. Anywho, the idea of sibling Ryder having their own squad is a pretty neat one. Even if they are just a small band of explorers tasked with minor stuff compared to The Pathfinder and their crew. Would be a neat opportunity for crossed paths, moral disputes, rescue missions, etc. if your sibling's team was out there doing similar things, albeit on a smaller scale. But the impression I get is that whatever prevents your sibling from taking over as Pathfinder prevents them from being out in the field. Be it choice or circumstance or whatever. That's exactly the issue with Sara. She's pretty. You're more likely to find fighters among Pretty Boys than Pretty Girls. Bugsy Siegel Sugar Ray Robinson Floyd Mayweather etc Gina Carano Laila Ali Michelle Waterson Paige Van Zant Etc...
