Say again? 6 levels to each profile or each power/passive? What do you mean?
You can rank up profiles from 1 to 5-6, based on how many points you spent in the three skill trees. I say 5-5 because I saw the explorer profile at rank 4 with the possibility of going to rank 5, I didn't see going towards rank 6, but I might've missed it.

What we see here is that Infiltrator is rank 3 and 50 points are needed for Tech and Combat and Explorer only needs 2 more points in each category to get to rank 4. 100 pts for rank 3, 156 pts for rank 4, difference of 52 pts.
Can anyone solve this algorithm?

I guess it might be because Explorer has three threes to work with, so you need 156 points to unlock rank 5. Infiltrator works on two threes, so maybe it'll be something like 75 in each three, so 150 points, to unlock rank 5.

What I am wondering is how many pts we get on lvl up... Think you can figure that out?

If (and this is a big if), levelling is a traditional curve then essentially all you'd want to do is:

I don't think so, but I'll try later when I'm more free.

So sorry if you guys have covered this, but I saw a little of the warp talk and I'm wondering if anyone's asked of long range casters are outright boned in ME:A? How's annihilation work? I never unlocked the character with that skill in ME3 multi back for the short time I played it. Is it only a short range thing or can it be cast at a distance?

Annihilation is a short range area (aura) effect. Looks like 4.5 meters when upgraded for radius. It might be something you'd want to throw on a shotgun Soldier character with no cooldown abilities.
Anyway, it looks like the new ability Lance might be Bioware's answer to playing a long-range caster. Low cooldown (10 sec baseline, compare to 24 for Singularity), solid damage-dealing potential, and a biotic detonator. However, it doesn't seem to prime, and it doesn't provide a debuff. At least from what we've been shown so far.

Thanks. That's really disappointing. I wonder if warp is maybe tied to the biotic profile itself like the drone is to engineer. Have any of the devs confirmed it's totally out of the mix?

yeah, and that's probably why nova is no longer: - using barrier - a detonator because otherwise you'd be a walking biotic explosion. Do note though, that shockwave is also a short-range detonator. This might take it's place.
on a side note: i wonder if annihilation field works with charge? In that you'd instantly perform a biotic explosion with annihilation field on...
Ans=d also: yeah lance seems nice. I'm thinking of slapping it on my infiltrator: tactical cloak and lance

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like Infiltrator's headshot bonus would effect Lance. But I do like the idea of some sort of Biotic sniper.

I'm certainly going to try my best to make a biotic sniper works. Putting aside the infiltrator bonus, the weapons passives are a good way to specialize in a particular type of weapon without affecting the type of powers you want to use.

Dammit I just read that it's only weapon damage :/ But tactical cloak might still boost lance's damage... hmm back to the drawing board!
So, the new video of the gameplay series confirms that you can use a skil, change profile, and that skill still remains. But I still have questions, like: That skill maintain the bonus of the previous favorite?

Probably. I think it's difficult for the game to be programmed otherwise. It's also confusing for the player.
Let's say I'm an adept and throw a singularity with a radius bonus. If I switch to soldier, that radius should instantly dissapear. If I switch back to adept, it would reappear. That seems like it could very well be buggy and difficult to program correctly. But that's just speculation.
So what we see is that Getting to the next level of profile is a static amount and that it doesn't matter what the profile is, it takes the same amount of points.
It takes 156 to get to rank 5, It takes 100 pts for rank 4, It takes 54 pts to get to Rank 3, and 24 for rank 2. The only one that is missing is rank 6.
1, 24, 54, 100, 156, ??? X, X , 20, 46 , 56 , X
If we can figure out the last one, we might be able to figure out how many points we start with.

Pretty sure the turret disappeared immediately upon switch.

Why would someone launch a turret just to be destroyed immediately after? Maybe increased the grenade explosion? But it's possible that the enemy just destroyed it.

Just for the sake of demonstrating the existence and function of the power.
