* NOW UPDATED post-Feb 17 combat trailer *We now have a full list of all vanilla SP skills in MEA (hooray!), which unfortunately makes this thread a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit redundant (boo!). But I might update it again once we learn more about each of the profiles in the next trailer. The full skill lists:Combat:Actives- Omni grenade - Concussive shot - Barricade - Turbocharge - Trip mine - Flak cannon Passives- Pistols - Assault rifles - Shotguns - Sniper rifles - Combat fitness - Combat tools Tech:Actives- Overload - Incinerate - Assault turret - Cryo beam - Energy drain - Tactical cloak - Flamethrower - Remnant VI - Invasion Passives- Team support - Offensive tech - Auxiliary systems Biotics:Actives- Pull - Throw - Charge - Nova - Shockwave - Annihilation - Backlash (formerly referred to as 'biotic aegis') - Singularity - Lance Passives- Barrier - Offensive biotics - Containment Here are images of the full lists (with thanks to DayusMakhina ): There are a few notable absences, such as warp (seems like invasion in the tech tree is a similar type of skill), adrenaline rush (time dilation has been killed by MP, turbocharge could be intended as a replacement for AR), reave, stasis, sabotage, tech shield (potentially the sentinel profile skill) and hacking. A few of these could potentially be available as bonus or DLC skills later. DayusMakhina has also created an imgur album of all the power descriptions shown in the trailer: imgur.com/a/6OTixEDIT: lastpawn brought to my attention a great compilation of images from the Feb 17 trailer by reddit user Tavarish: https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/5unp3t/went_through_gameplay_series_1_combat_trailer_and/Old infoDecember 1Here is an image of all the icons for skills (formerly called powers or talents) that are shown in the December 1 gameplay trailer, in order of appearance and numbered for reference: Best guesses as to what these are (EDIT: now based on all known SP skill names): 1 - Backlash 2 - Charge 3 - Concussive shot 4 - Flak cannon 5 - Trip mine 6 - Assault turret 7 - Flamethrower 8 - Barricade 9 - Shockwave 10 - Overload 11 - Incinerate 12 - Pull 13 - Throw 14 - Invasion 15 - Cryo beam 16 - Tactical cloak 17 - Omni grenade 18 - Singularity 19 - Lance 20 - Turbocharge There are also some other symbols/markings in these images: a round dot at the top left of some skill icons, indicating that the skill is a primer; a small explosion at the top right, indicating that the skill is a detonator and a green background, which seems to indicate that a skill is currently in use (in this case, the assault turret). January 4:Here are shots of the further skills info from the January 4 Nvidia trailer: There was also some information revealed about skill ‘profiles’ in that same footage: A few interesting bits and pieces: 1. Some active skills have a secondary function activated by holding the relevant button/key. 2. Peebee’s skills loadout in the footage is a tech/biotics hybrid, suggesting she has the sentinel profile available to her. 3. Active skills (and possibly passives too) have a similar tree structure to ME3, with three set ranks and a further three ranks with two options each, totalling six ranks. 4. The explorer profile (combat + tech + biotics) appears to be unlocked for Ryder, but none of the other biotic or part-biotic profiles are. This suggests that more points need to be invested in biotic skills to unlock these profiles – e.g. one biotic skill for explorer, two for vanguard or sentinel and three for adept. 5. ‘Marksman’s focus’ is a bonus skill granted by unlocking rank 1 of the soldier profile, while ‘combat drone’ is a bonus skill granted by unlocking rank 1 of the engineer profile. This might explain why we have seen the drone in footage but it isn’t listed in the tech skill tree. Perhaps these skills are activated by a separate button/key to the loadout skills (dpad-down?) or perhaps they are always active when using the relevant profile. 6. Taking flamethrower from rank 3 to rank 6 raised the engineer profile to rank 4 (apparently directly from rank 1???) and also unlocked something called ‘technical overseer’. This might be an alternative to the ‘recon specialist’ and ‘rogue academic’ titles Ryder and Peebee have, respectively. No idea whether it changes any player stats. PS4 preorder trailer (February 3):Here are a few shots from the PS4 preorder trailer (credit to @vella for the images): This trailer is MP only but it shows a couple of powers that are likely to be in SP too. The biotic skill in the first image looks like a new one. It could be the animation for 'lance' because the second image seems to show the same female character with that skill in her loadout, although it doesn't seem to fit with the lance description. The third image shows a Krogan vanguard using nova. There is also a power with a helmet symbol, which could be a headbutt, but this is presumably restricted to MP (and maybe Drack).
[ SofaJockey said:] ProbeAway , I'm adding some additional information to the OP, please feel free to move it around if you prefer: [ SofaJockey - all good!] *Note: Adding these thumbnailed but spoilered at full size: Root menu Squadmate screenSkills screenPower tree

The symbol between Squadmates is the one indicating you're under cover. It appears in other parts of the trailer as well.

We can speculate after the trailer now, but let's keep in mind a lot of this is prone to change as they say they balance/polish stuff now.
Will get back to this thread to analyze once I get more time.

Hmmm... sounds quite plausible so far.
20 Looks more like some form of rapid fire... marksman would probably be a bullseye or targeting cross.

I believe one of devs tweeted that it also reflects stuff back, hard to tell from two seconds long usage.

1 - Biotic Aegis (the dev told us the name) 2 - Charge (the Vanguard Way!) 3 - Concussive shot? (it doesn't seems to look like concussive shot to me though) 4 - Looks a lot like concussive shot animation to me, it goes out of the gun too Cluster grenade 5 - Proximity mine (yup, might have a new name though) 6 - Assault turret (renamed Sentry Turret from ME3, even got the flame upgrade) 7 - Flamer 8 - I call it the portable shield (because of SWTOR) 9 - Possibly shockwave (yeah, I agree with that) 10 - I was thinking Overload, but it does recharge the shield after reviewing so Energy Drain it is. 11 - Incinerate (used in the trailer) 12 - Pull (it's the ME3 icon sideway) 13 - This could be shockwave instead. I was thinking throw or force push, but if this is Shockwave, than 9 is a tech attack for a fully techie build. 14 - Annihilation Radiation field (and we GW2 now!...this is a joke) 15 - Cryo blast 16 - Tactical cloak (used in the trailer) 17 - Frag grenade (it's a grenade at least) 18 - Singularity 19 - Another flame related ability I think Flare, maybe? Or carnage? 20 - Marksman or overkill None of the other abilities are "buff" and overkill just increased accuracy and reduced overheating two things that aren't needed here. Something new I think.
I'm surprised by the lack of Wrap and Overload. :/

I wasalso surprised that Overload didn't appear, but surely we have seen every power availabe yet Carnage looks like a bladed bullet, that icon has curves like the other 2 fire related abilities. I doubt that was all the powers even if there is 20 of them already and ME3 without ammo powers has 21 base class abilities. Many oldies were not shown: - Tech armor - Wrap - Overload - Sabotage - Combat Drone (we do see a combat drone for a few seconds in the trailer though, just no player icon to go with it) - most grenades skill from ME3 - most of the bonus powers - Nova - Throw

I'm surprised by the lack of Wrap and Overload. :/ 1 - Thanks, will fix! 4 - Good point, and there's no number limit I can see either. Maybe some sort of explosive/cluster shot. 9 & 13 - Yeah, not sure. If I had to guess I would say 9 is shockwave but not confident. One of them could be some kind of tech field. 12 - I don't think this is the traditional pull. It gets used in the trailer and the enemy flies towards Ryder before floating. Hence lash/pull. Could still be called pull tho. 14 - Yep this has me stumped. The symbol is the biohazard logo so I'm thinking it's probably new. 19 - Still leaning towards carnage but I take your point re the symbol. Could also be some sort of aerial strike, given the direction of the flame. 20 - True, but it could be updated to just increase firing rate like marksman did in ME3. Could also have a faster reload time like AR. I'll make a few edits!

Sorry, guys, but 19 is obviously used to summon a Thresher Maw. But seriously, thanks for posting this thread! I was considering making one, but I'm terrible at editing images, and even worse at properly posting images on this forum. I would say that your suggestions look good. I wonder if maybe with the enemies floating in the air after "pull" was used if a squadmate had used singularity and that is what caused them to float there like that.

So we have 20 powers confirmed, that is divided into the 3 combat specializations that is 6 per specialization. 3 of which we can use...I suppose that is not bad of course the problem is we are encouraged to 'mix and match' between the groups.

Yep, although there are no doubt more powers we haven't seen yet (e.g. overload, warp, throw, drone). If we can only have 3 active powers (and assuming we don't respec during a playthrough) then even with just these 20 you would need 7 playthroughs to try everything. I like having access to different classes of powers but I'm still annoyed about the idea of only 3 powers, if true. I loved sentinel in the trilogy but I would need at least 4 powers to replicate that play style here, assuming they exist - tech shield, overload, warp and throw. We'll just have to wait and see what further info we get.

But even if we can't respec, as long s we can pick 8-9 powers as we did in ME3, all we need is the chance to change the 3 powers we can use between missions, or with any luck between battles, so as far as trying all of them, there wouldn't be much difference? It's true, of course, a playstyle based on the combination of 4 of them it is out the table,

Of course, how did I not see that?!? You might be right about pull, but if it didn't cause the floating effect then it's basically just lash. Ok, so I've been watching it in slow motion over again, and it appears when the power is used, four biotic balls fly toward the target, spread out a bit, and when they hit him he is engulfed in a temporary biotic blue ball, then flies toward the PC where they hover. So I am retracting my initial statement about it being a squadmate that causes the hovering. It does appear to be the power. It's almost like a biotic "net" or something. The only thing that I don't get is at the end of that small segment, a second body appears to be in the floating stasis bubble as well as the initial target. It's hard to see with all the fire from the combat drone. But watching the power icon, it does not appear the "pull/lash" ability is activated a second time. So I'm not sure if it works as both kind of a singularity and pull/lash or what. And I could be wrong, but that's how it looks at quarter speed on YouTube.
