what i'm more curious about though, is how they will work on clipless weapons like those with beams and the vintage heat sink. It would be fun if they lasted until your weapon next overheated. Then you would be rewarded for being careful about managing your firepower. 1 assault rifle with overheat and disrupter ammo, 1 assault rifle with overheat and incendiary ammo. infinite special ammo, as you can just switch between the 2... kind of overpowered

The fiends! Personally, I'd make ammo types use up one clip per time, and make the consumables really cheap. However, they stay activated until deactivated.

Do we know how ammo powers work yet? Some screenshots suggest they are consumables now. Would that mean they last for an entire mission or a set amount of time? As a primarily solder player different ammo powers were fun to play around with, I especially like incendiary and cryo. There's a Rank 6 option in the Offensive Tech tree called Technical Rounds which sounds (and looks) like an ammo power. Does anyone know any more about this?

From that name alone it's hard to tell. Perhaps weapons do more damage to synthetic targets, or targets affected by tech powers.

Is there anyone here who: - cares about this thread - has early EA acces - has the ability to capture videos - has the goodwill to make a video which showcases all evolution trees of all skills, including the optional evolutions Us normal people would be ever so grateful... I don't have EA access but the game says: Don't know if its the same for you guys, but if I do have early access, I can do this.

I don't get to play until the 23rd Being able to know all skills and think about builds with all proper knowledge would soften the blow EDIT: do we have the evolution trees of concussive shot and incinerate yet? I'm still debating which one to use for my explorer build (yes, I've changed my mind again...)

The new multiplayer teaser shows evolution trees of a couple of things. Interesting among them: incinerate, of which the final evolution lets you choose between 2 incinerates or acting as a detonator. Also, sticky mine's tree. But nothin' special. still nothing concussive shot, though Soldier skills aren't featured much in the video's :/

Also, there is a rank 6 evolution for pull called 'strip shields'. That sounds like it would be very useful for a biotic, given their lack of other shield-stripping abilities.

Right! saw that as well! Wondering if this actually makes pull more practical to use than overload or energy drain for removing shields

This MP footage shows the evolution trees for singularity, combat fitness, incinerate, tactical cloak.
E.g. incinerate gets to choose between double incinerate (two fireballs for extra initial damage to take out armour?) or becoming a detonator.

its after midnight and I can't stop thinking of builds. But it pays off. I've just thought of the most hilarious one. Hear me out: Adept. Pull, throw and incinerate. Now, start with setting a guy on fire. Then, pull and hold him next to you. Lastly, throw his flaming ass at his buddies, setting off both a fire and biotic cluster-combo. Look. I'm not much of a mercenary of any kind. Neither a power-hungry alien race. But If I see my best buddy getting torched and hurled at me as a human space magic grenade...? They're not paying me enough, however much it is. I had a hard time deciding on a fourth favorite profile, but I'm thinking this one is it. Muahaha

Liam: Havok Strike, Frag Grenade, Overload (Combat, Combat, Tech) Drack: Blood rage, Flak cannon, Incinerate (Combat, Combat, Tech)
Cora: Charge, Nova, Shield boost (Biotic, Biotic, Tech) Peebee:Shockwave, Pull, Invasion (Biotic, Biotic, Tech)
Vetra: Power Armour Jaal
Do we have any idea of skills for Jaal and Vetra? I guess they might be the two tech focused ones, with Jaal maybe having some biotics?

It just dawned on me that the game lacks Carnage.
Bioware sure loves taking the crimson Hadouken from me. I loved that shit in ME1, they disappointed me in 2 by only allowing enemies to do it--and to make matters worse, I couldn't figure out a way to use it via mods, only to bring it back in a less awesome but still entertaining form in ME3.
Someone's bonus talent better be goddamn Carnage.

Although hilarious, it'll probably be impractical due to incinerate being a tech. And having a rathe rhigh cooldown. So I've decided pull, throw and lance. This way I can snap up a fellow, launch him high up in the air, and explode him with a lance. So. Many. Possibilities. For sadism!

Shockwave is anti-armor.. This changes everything.
Think I might go for:
Singularity - radius, anti-shield, explosion. Shockwave - damage, reach, ant-armor. Turbocharge - recharge speed, damage, supercharge.
Good vs shields check, good vs armor check, CC check, biotic explosion check, tons of damage check.

Still waiting for my download to finish Dunno about specifics, although I'd like your thoughts on lance if you've used it. Are there any abilities standing out to you as being particularly powerful? Actually, it all seems very well balanced! Nothing overpowered, but everything useful in it's own way! Lance... kinda weird. I mean, it doesn't home at all, it hits where your gun is aiming. This can be good or bad, depending on how you play your character adnd how good you are at aiming. Does a bit too low damage, imo. pull + throw is hilarious. tactical cloak is awesome as ever. I love that you can change concussive shot into a consumable with a lot of power cells! Perfect for rapid cross-profile combos! The charge - nova combo is just as good as ever. But as I said, every skill has it's own use and it's absolutely awesome how you can make any build your own. Gameplay is really spot-on this time.
