Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice romancing Morrigan with Mahariel.
I mean... she stole a book from a Dalish clan. Isn't it weird that he would be cool with that? Or with her (potentially) taking for herself the Well of Sorrows, which will be only hers and never shared with the people.

That's a wasted opportunity for character developement. I think, there should be more quarrels among the pairings - without ending the romance. I liked it with the Zevran romance, where you can quarreal about him not being clear with the earring.

But it is so hilarious, how both, Morrigan and Ali, are not amused

Which dynamic do you guys prefer? Morrigan + Goody two shoes Warden or Morrigan with a Warden who is morally similar to her?

Hm. Morriganmancers and people who accepted the Dark ritual, I gotta ask you - which Kieran do you prefer? OG!Kieran or human!Kieran? When I played the game for the first time in 2009, I obviously chose to do the Dark ritual... mostly to get naked scene, because 12 year old davesin really liked boobies. Now I'm slightly more mature and when I play the endgame part of Origins, I can't bring myself to do it even when the PC is romancing Morrigan. Putting Urthamiel's soul on a little boy with who-knows-what effects on his mind doesn't sound good to me (well, I know what effects, but that's metagaming. And even when metagaming, OG!Kieran is quite creepy). Which dynamic do you guys prefer? Morrigan + Goody two shoes Warden or Morrigan with a Warden who is morally similar to her? Pragmatic Warden who isn't full into social darwinism, I suppose. Definitely not a paragon of virtue, but acting according to Morrigan all the time is often unproductive.

I admit that so far I've only had OG! Kieran (having only played female Wardens who had either Alistair or Loghain do the ritual)
though I have watched human!Kieran on YouTube and I admit that I prefer him over OG!Kieran especially love human!Kieran's comment toward an elf Inquisitor (paraphrased) Kieran: mother didn't say you were an elf Inky: that's not such a bad thing is it? Kieran: no, I think elves are pretty made even more adorable if his father happens to be an elf as well, it's basically him saying he finds his dad pretty

Normal Kieran for sure.
It amazes me that when people discuss the morality of the Dark Ritual, the fact that it involves using an unborn baby as a lab rat doesn't even enter the picture.
It doesn't cross anyone's mind that experimenting on your son may be a questionable choice.

especially love human!Kieran's comment toward an elf Inquisitor (paraphrased) Kieran: mother didn't say you were an elf Inky: that's not such a bad thing is it? Kieran: no, I think elves are pretty with Kossith his remark is more interesting: makes you think about some origins (AFAIR the main villain also makes a remark about a Kossith Inquisitor or a Bull). Hope to see some interpritations in DA4 about this race. Whether I like Morrigan or not (though I like her in a way, but hate for some things), what I can say for sure: C.Black did a great job voicing this character. Don't remember even a single dialogue, a single sentence where I could think "bad acting, C.Black, all of a sudden".

I've a vid here with all of Kieran's remarks I guess the players are very eager to get many answers from DA4 = too many riddles. also, I think it's cute that Kieran was voiced by Claudia Black's own son yep, he tried very hard and did a good work on his behalf imo.

Which dynamic do you guys prefer? Morrigan + Goody two shoes Warden or Morrigan with a Warden who is morally similar to her? A GW concentrated on the task - to gether an army à la cannon fodder. Pragmatism takes the 1st place here, not romances (sure there could be asshole GWs - just do anything, won't go anywhere anyway, the main task - romance or lure someone to the tent, the rest can wait, not a big deal). With Morrigan - just leave her in the camp or give cakes - as I wrote somewhere, only with Evil PT (though I consider it's "Grey PT" anyway - can explain EVERY decision I made in "Evil PT" and why they are more reasonable) Morrigan approved everything but leaving Cailan's body for the darkspawn to have fun. So both GW characters are suitable for Morrigan, she changes in both cases and in the long run it doesn't matter: she is still a lying bitch, even in DAI. Morriganmancers and people who accepted the Dark ritual, I gotta ask you - which Kieran do you prefer? OG!Kieran or human!Kieran? on one hand it's really creepy to accept such ritual from such likes as Morrigan, proposing it "just in time", BUT knowing that Flemeth is ivolved it doesn't seem so creepy - I don't see it as experiment on a child, Flemeth knows what she is doing (but after DAI knowing that Flemeth gave powers to that fucking Solas I would reconsider the ritual - I trust Flemeth in a way, but not that "all-the-time-screwing-asshole"). Remember, SVP, it's another universe, there are a lot of questions, puzzles, strange things we know nothing about - so making a ritual is not a big deal if you think of this: it is magic, magic that can change everything conidering GWs (where your GW won't die), in DLC WH Morrigan (if I understood correctly) gives some info to the GW about "how not to die from the calling". So thinking of this, don't you think it's worth investigating even if a child is born with a soul of a God? I say "yes". Even Duncan mentions in the beginning that the darkspawn is all that matters, other things are just "nothings". And if there is a way to improve GW abilities, to investigate something new that can help with the future Blights (in case if they happen - only I think Solas will happen to scew everything again and again), I will do that. Again, wrote it sevral times: it's a war, a grim realy of ANY war - people die anyway, sacrafices are made anyway; you can't avoide it. In this case, if you prefer calling it that way - a child is a sacrafice made to get more info to fight GREATER threat. But I don't see the boy as a sacrafice - I see it as pragmatism. A GW is pragmatic using logic, brains, thinking about greater evil. Grim for someone as a child is involved? Why?Because he is a child and nothing else? See nothing bad in it. Pragmatism is all that matters here. Don't forget, please, it's DAU, not our world!

About Kieran:if he exists in my universe, he is always an OGB, since I do play female characters mostly and if Kieran is born, then because, I shoved Morri at Alistair or Loghain to save my skin (yes, not very heroic, I know). But I do find OG Kieran surprisingly easy going and nice. Oh and I do share your trust in Flemeth, I even did that in my very first playthrough - and so far, I do think, I was right.

As I see it: a GW just learns something new about the Blight, how to get rid of the calling + maybe something else. Kieran is save anyway - Flemeth takes the soul of the God anyway and he simply remains a boy. But yeah, OG Kieran is very interesting for talking with him.

Woman: The boy is deceptively lovely. Man: He was schooled in the best of places. Woman: I hear his father is a Grey Warden - I didn't think that happened. Man: Wardens are fetishized by some. They do not want for comfort, although I doubt that soothes their corruption. Woman: Not that it's likely that the union produced a child. Man: Life despite the Blight. I hope the minstrel does not sing of it. Since it seems that Grey Wardens conceiving children is so exceptionally rare, that just further convinces me that this letter found in the Fade is from Kieran.

Many Grey Wardens already have children before joining their ranks, so it could be that since Kieran doesn’t always exist.

Maybe, tough it'd be an exceptionally early Calling in that case. Besides, there are probably not a lot of Grey Wardens living with their families away from the Order.

I know the very last thing any Morrigan fan wants to see is another woman’s semi-nude body, but @kalinkafox has been posting some cosplay pics that I thought were pretty decent. The first two spoilers are OK, but the third spoiler has some NSFW images.

It has been quite some time since anyone commented, buuut why not get this thread going a little bit.
I like Morrigan because of the connection my warden (female, mage, elf) has with Morrigan. They disagreed on many things but became friends nonetheless. Then, on the night before the battle in Denerim, my Surana refused to go through with Morrigan's plan because she felt it is too... well, twisted. She felt betrayed when Morrigan left her before the battle (Alistair also did the same because I left Loghain alive). Still, she remembered her as a friend and later decided to find her. In the end, I chose to believe that as much as she was hurt by Morrigan, they managed to forgive each other at the end of the Witch Hunt DLC. They got closure of sorts.
I really like when Morrigan says "I will never understand you. And you will never understand me." This sums up their relationship pretty perfectly. They don't understand each other but despite that, they have a strong connection.

In the end, I chose to believe that as much as she was hurt by Morrigan, they managed to forgive each other at the end of the Witch Hunt DLC. They got closure of sorts. Your GW is so kind. Even if I really like Morrrigan as a character in the game and always help her (she is different, not becaue I want to "tent" her), she, after saying those "friend-sister" words, just left you, just like that stupid Alistair - both did not get what they wanted. I always stab her in DLC WH. Just can't choose other options as she simply lied, her those "friendly" words meant nothing at all after she just left you instead of helping even if she did not get her god-child. No real friend would do such a thing. But I still admire how Morrigan was made, C.Black voice in awesome. Morrigan is "evil" yes, though for me it simply means "different", that is all. But I can never forgive that backstab from her when she just left.

My power was out yesterday for almost 3 hours and I was bored. It was then that this pointless thought randomly dawned on me. In Inquisition when you meet Morrigan she's wearing her ball gown, then she's in her Witch of the Woods get up she was wearing ten years ago for the rest of the game. So I found it amusing either imagining her scandalizing Celene's court only wearing her Witch of the Woods getup everyday for years (apart from fancy events) or always being in her ball gown everyday and then being like finally I can take this off when she's assigned as a liaison to the Inquisition. Not sure which is more amusing.
