Even without reading books, I think Yen can be still likable. Calling her cold manipulative bitch is a generalisation that would easily apply to Morrigan as well. Last time I checked, both of them were pretty much loyal companions, passionate (and quite possessive) lovers, more or less good mothers (seriously, I think both games fucked this. Neither Yen or Morrigan has enough interaction with Ciri/Kieran if you ask me)... who can also commit morally ambiguous or outright immoral acts. But Triss is trash, hard to argue about that

Today I got the banter between Leliana and Morrigan that ends with Leliana remarking that Morrigan must be very lonely, and Morrigan awkwardly replies that she prefers it that way. I wanted yo be able to join the conversation similar to banter in DAI, and say Morrigan has my Warden now. Instead I settled for turning and kissing her in the middle of Orzammar, with Leliana's encouragement.

Kieran's gonna be a half-dwarf.

I've got a question for you guys and girls: Do you think it would me in-character for Morrigan to drug a male Warden at the end of the game and have her way with him? There are clearly ways to mesmerize/paralyze/knockout a Warden (Sloth demons, demon in Brecilian Forest and Architect managed to do that). I know it would rob us of choice and it would be... well... rape, but Morrigan doesn't seem to be one who would stop on this (maybe unless the Warden is romancing her).

I don't think she'd rape anyone. She could've, if she was told no. But she didn't. The same goes with the well in DAI. Morrigan is most likely the strongest sorceress, she could've take the well herself by using force and cheating. But she didn't. She let the Inquisitor decide and even though she didn't like the idea... she dealt with it.

That is quite an interesting question who have introduced, dave! While i can totally see how someone could say Morrigan is capable of such an act.(She is after all,for a major part of DA:O players ,seen as a cold-blooded,scheming,hypocrytical witch). I am of course superbly biased(being her husband and all ) but i don't think she would do such a thing.I know she gets very salty if you deny her,but on the other hand ,one of Morrigan's defining traits is her ingenuity, which of course a tremendously usefull thing in order to survive the Corcari Wilds, even if your mother is the famous "Witch of the Wilds".She can certainly live with the Warden's denial/death... Speaking of Flemeth, yes ,i totally see her commiting such an act,and that another reason i believe Morrigan would not do it.Her aggresion towards her mother would not allow her to stoop on Flemeth's level and use the latter's means. In addition, the Dark Ritual was the reason Flemeth saved the Wardens,so i don't think Morrigan would go that far to grant her "beloved" mother's wish!

She could have done this to the Warden or Alistair or Loghain... but if you refuse her, she chooses to accept your decision and bow out. That's canon.

True. I guess it makes sense, since Flemeth raised her and taught her to follow some of her principles. Morrigan wants to preserve the magic of old like her mother... and at the same time, she seems to respect people's choice and freewill (to some matter, anyway. She can kill Abelas if you make wrong decision, but in that case both Morrigan and the Inquisitor want to use it to get advantage over seemingly immortal magister).

It would certainly simplify imports to future Dragon Age games, streamlining story branches and alternate content. Kieran would always be canon, and always start merged with Urthemiel. Wardens who refused the Dark Ritual would still die since they technically weren't apart of it, and couldn't benefit. It would fit with the Arthurian motifs, with Morrigan and Kieran evoking, but also deconstructing, Morganna Le Fay and Mordred. It would give a nice middle finger to entitled players who insist that controlling their own character is not enough, and that they should control the destiny of the whole world*.
But that's the rub, isn't it? If you're going to make true roleplaying games and provide them with scenarios where not everyone would agree, you have to respect player choice. Having Morrigan rape the Warden/Alistair/Loghain in their sleep would be a loophole within the letter of RPG law, but violate it's spirit. As fascinating as I think the narrative possibilities of an OGB type character would be, I think they would work better not being tied to potential previous player choices. Maybe a future DA game could feature a reincarnated Razikale or Lusacan whom we could ally with/oppose/befriend or romance. Not be the PC though, as that would just be another Bhaalspawn . My own feelings? I think Morrigan would grudgingly respect the wishes of a friend or lover Warden, but have her way with a neutral or hated one .
*While there are plenty of valid reasons to deny the DR (Grey Warden duty, they don't trust Morrigan with that kind of power, they don't want their own child mind raped, they'll just have Alistair/Loghain sacrifice themselves, etc...) it never ceases to amaze me how many players do it specifically to destroy magic/gods/anything fantastical. Sure, it would be nice to have more video game RPG alternatives (superheroes, horror, cops and robbers, spies, etc.), but complaining about fantasy in a fantasy RPG is like going to a Chinese restaurant and whining about the lack of pizza .

Adding to the above, one way of streamlining the canon is that the DR did occur, but it wasn't Morrigan who performed it.
Flemeth has many other daughters dotted about and one of them could have easily seduced a Grey Warden into facilitating the ritual, as a backup in case Morrigan failed. Otherwise we're supposed to believe that someone like Flemeth, who seems to enjoy playing a long game with her schemes and even took steps to cheat death should Morrigan try to kill her, would leave something so important up to chance?
The game seems to posit that the only requirements were that the ritual be performed with a Grey Warden that was recently joined within the past year. The person who actually slew the Archdemon didn't have to have performed the ritual, as a female Warden who had Alistair/Loghain do the ritual still survives even if they were the one to strike the final blow.
This would of course mean needing to explain the Ultimate Sacrifice, perhaps retconning it so that the Warden's death in those instances were due to injuries sustained during the battle and they perished shortly after taking down the Archdemon.
(I know this would annoy some fans, but it would simplify things and allow the canon to retain Urthemiel in play, since that plot thread and how this might impact the Wardens/Darkspawn/Blights going forward is far too good to ignore. Besides for those who chose for the Warden to die fighting the Archdemon, then they can't really argue about a retcon that still retains that same end result)
Of course, this would mean that in this alternate worldstate that Urthemiel was never bound to Kieran and instead might have been Yavana's son instead? Whoever was the OGB doesn't really matter anyway, since Flemeth eventually seeks out her grandchild and has them transfer Urthemiel's soul into her anyway.

Moment of silence for Morrigan's beautiful DAI concept art outfits. I was actually browsing through the artbook recently and thought of posting these XD Great minds think alike? This one i'm especially fond off.Even the face is really pretty(i'm guessing it's was one of the 3d models in process, but they scrapped it for an older looking sculpt). I'd certainly prefer my wife to be dressed in a less skimpy outfit, but if that's what she likes,oh well, who am i to judge? At least we get this in-game(kinda): Wilds are supposed to be very cold, no? Any argument about cold in this game is invalid, dave! The elves walk barefoot
