Mass Effect "Explorers Wanted" Contest Winners

This would be an excellent opportunity to be a part of a series I love if I had anything resembling talent. These competitions are unfairly skewed toward talented people.

Think that's my fantasy as well. Well, fantasy/fear. Ya know, being introduced to Laura Bailey, and then just seeing me crumpling on the floor with a heart attack. She did such a good job on SR3 & 4.

Yup, exactly the same. My girlfriend and I read the scripts to each other, but didn't enter. She could have, but I suck at reading stuff outloud. I mean, I know that's not really what you're supposed to do, but I also suck at memorizing things, so I'm screwed

The UK is still part of the EU as far as I'm aware. And to my knowledge the rules on international contests and prizes and such are levelled throughout the EU as well. But oh well, wouldn't have expected anything different from last time out anyway.

its to do with grace and favour laws within each country relative to allowing competition entries, the frogs have some weird laws about it that form the basis of most of the EU wide ones which the UK opted out of.....

the only strange thing really though is they don't want loads of different people to record the same things for localisation options, like I get that an English speaker would be used for the English version but surely you would also need a Polish a Chinese a French a German etc etc speakers for each of those language choices unless there skimping and only providing text whilst the voices all remain in English .....(I hate games that do that it just feels cheap, especially when there AAA titles with premium price tags)

but the contest is always cool, and its a good way for companies ot discover new talents, I know of someone who did a voice actor competition for a games studio several years ago who went on to work in the film industry for animations despite not getting the spot in the game because it was the same sound company exec giving out jobs for both ....

You do not have to place it on Youtube or any other social media, you are only encouraged to do so. The rules of the contest state:

Entries must be submitted via email to explorers@bioware.com in English as audio files, video files, or links to audio or video files and sized no larger than 10 MB.

Quebec also has strict language laws. When I lived there, I couldn't access certain websites because they didn't have a French language option. I wouldn't be surprised if that was at least part of the reason for their exclusion.

Well, I have a horrible English accent but I would have been A WONDERFUL ALIEN! I don't know, MAYBE A KHET!

If anything, the contest helps to realize problems one might have when talking out loud. Got few very clear pointers myself.
