I doubt it. Stealth shooters require a very specific level and gameplay design in order to function well, and the other Mass Effect games have been very much built around the "kick down the door and shoot everything" approach. Some games do manage to juggle combat with stealth somewhat well (looking at you, Human Revolution) but I don't expect that from Andromeda. There might be a stealth mission or two, however.

No, unfortunately it is not an option. Not just for the whole game, but not even for a single mission. Mike Gamble said this in a recent interview. Q: Is combat always required? Can you take a diplomat or stealth approach?
Mike Gamble: Nope, I'd say that combat is required. True to Mass Effect, that's kind of the direction and vision we've always leaned into, and that hasn't changed in Andromeda.www.gameplanet.co.nz/pc/features/g585a02f0f2c3d/Mass-Effect-Andromeda-interview/

Some games do manage to juggle combat with stealth somewhat well (looking at you, Human Revolution) but I don't expect that from Andromeda. There might be a stealth mission or two, however. I agree. To me the problem is a game has to be developed to have stealth elements from the very start of development otherwise it feels tacked on and not well implemented. In my opinion Edios Montreal focused on the approach you take to combat and exploration and gave it a very high priority over anything else in the game, where BioWare focuses more on the story and characters then other aspects of the game. So something would have to give and for me if I want to take a stealthy approach to a game, I will just load up either Human Revolution or Mankind Divided and not want a developer to make an attempt to include those mechanics that seem like an attempt to mimic what another game did and made major mistakes with the implementation. I remember the complaints that BioWare tried to copy Skyrim too much with Dragon Age: Inquisition and I rather not have that happen with Mass Effect as well.

Well the first part of Kasumi's loyalty mission had you masquerading as a weapons dealer and infiltrating Heck's party. But, yeah, those two missions are the only ones that could be considered 'stealthy'. Sad.

^ Or the part in Citadel DLC where you're hacking cameras and distracting guards in the Casino... but those are about as close as it gets. Idk that its sad, its just not a significant element of these particular games; its not like every game can include every element of every other game. If you want a stealth shooter there are plenty of options out there

Well, I'd say Thane's and Samara's loyalty missions are also 'stealthy' but that wasn't an option since that was the only way those missions went.

Actually, I'm not particularly interested in those types of game, so there almost certainly are more than I think there are (I'd bet just about anything that there are stealth games I wasn't aware of). But almost everyone is familiar with multi-title franchises like Hitman, Assassins Creed, Splintercell, Metal Gear Solid, Deus Ex, Thief, etc., or even games like Fallout that at least include sneaking and stealth kills. Not every game can be (or even should be) all things for all gamers; if you want a stealth game, buy a stealth game.

Most of the few franchises you listed as examples have mandatory sections that throw stealth out the window. I agree that not all games should have that, however I disagree that Mass Effect is one of those. Mass Effect would be a franchise that could really utilize that not only in the gameplay but also the story.

All of those multi-title franchises include a major stealth component; if they aren't stealth games, then pretty much nothing is. And a quick Google search reveals a bunch more games I hadn't heard of, or didn't know involves stealth gameplay (Dishonored 2, Batman Arkham Origins, Alien Isolation, Invisible Inc, etc). So like I said, plenty of options.

As such I was keeping the discussion with that criteria in mind. So many of those you listed earlier didn't fit.

Magic 8-Ball says...Probably Not.
I suspect that the nature of the story won't allow for a full stealth play through.

The OP isn't very clear (thus the 2nd reply to the thread is "depends on what you mean by 'full stealth'"), but it doesn't strike me as particularly likely that they're asking whether the next game in a series that has not hitherto involved stealth to any significant degree will be the stealthiest stealth game ever, more so than actual stealth games (like those mentioned). At least asking whether ME:A will involve stealth as a general alternative to combat, after the manner of other stealth games, isn't completely silly. But the answer is almost certainly "no" either way so its sort of a moot point in any case.

It's not a stealth game. Some side-quests may involve not killing anyone, but even that would misrepresent the game as having 'stealth elements'.
We know what pitfalls await game publishers in interviews: Sean Murray: Can you meet other players? Can you fight battles? ... 'maybeee....'
Mike Gamble is right to not claim it is a stealth game even if not every sidequest is resolved by combat.

I love Dishonored, and am not loving Dishonored 2. I know in Dishonored you can play the entire game non-lethal, and I believe full stealth as well. Still, not a ton of options, but some very good ones.

Chances are this is a NO
I have the suspicion that Bioware will "encourage" us (read...shove down our throat) to use certain profiles for certain missions just so that we can properly appreciate the new class swapping system nonsense.
Hopefully I am wrong tho
