I enjoyed what we saw, but everything I've seen so far for the UI makes me cringe. Hopefully it will be better when using it, and not just watching. I actually really liked what we saw of the UI so far. Leaps and bounds better than the UI in ME3. Reminds me more of ME1/2, but modernized more. Feels like a sort of classic sci-fi menus and UI we've seen in-universe with computers and such before. Went by too fast for me to tell if the arrangement of everything looks good so far, though. Pretty design is only half of a good UI. |

All right, so profiles seem like they give you a bunch of specific stat boosts and a unique feature for each profile, but otherwise you can still use whatever powers you want. I can get behind that.

We didn't get to see (much of) Cora, Liam, or Scott. Sara gets to showcase her dialogue and stuff, and all I got was about two to three lines from Scott? Cool, that we saw the profiles and skill trees, but I feel kind of miffed. The video was cool and all, but not I felt like I should have just waited until a separate video was put up. *sigh* I hope more info is shown in the next two months.

That was... odd. I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting a clipshow of pretty planet visuals to showcase the graphics. That was mostly just UI with a tiny clip of combat thrown in. Not awful, but not worth the marketing hype. I expect people to find some interesting tidbits in the UI shots, though. At least we have a confirmed release date from earlier, so today wasn't a complete bust. I suppose it depends on what you were wanting, versus what you were expecting, versus what you got. I wasn't expecting them to show off the things they did in the video, I was wanting them to show off the things they did in the video, and then they showed off those things. Sure, it was a bit short, but it was probably the best bang-for-your-buck piece of marketing we have gotten from ME A...yet. A delightful tease for some of the mechanics. Whether or not I am excited by those mechanics, well I will have to see the vid a couple of times from the beginning, and then play it in the game, but I am just delighted to see anything of what they showed. First off this is either amazing or terrible depending on how you see it. If you care for gameplay it's amazing. However, it is seriously lore breaking. From what I saw, you can literally change classes on the fly. What happened to classes? A little variability is ok, but this is ridiculous.

I was cringing the whole way through during the combat segment, not because the gameplay looks bad, but because whoever was playing seemed to do everything wrong, running up to the drone with the shield instead of fighting it from cover, using the flamethrower to no effect, and then finally trying to do a bit of damage with melee.
It felt like his chosen profile wasn't meant for the run and gun style, but rather shooting from cover.

And they changed it fast to her so Cora wouldn't load lol Edit: Also that was her loyalty mission confirmed™ I already was talking Peebee looked cute before, but now... OMG, she's even better. Peebee's haters can hate as much as they want, I'm paying loads of money to get this game (of course, I live in Brazil) and no one but myself has the right to say which character I should like or hate. There's no lore on classes; classes were a gameplay mechanic. And whether or not you can change them on the fly, the classes are still there. If you don't want to swap, don't. But for people like me who mod the game to mix and match all class powers into one ball of whatever the hell we feel like playing as, it's perfect. |

I'm guessing the limit is there because of either controller limitations and lack of pause wheel/aim or as balance mechanic to stop you from making ridiculous builds now that we have separate cooldowns for everything (and everything being available to you) |

Seeing the combat in action, I'm sorta getting into it? Having it be limited to just 3 abilities makes it feel less like I'm selectively forgetting things, and more like, in that moment, that's what I'm actively concentrating on.
I can roll with this, I think.
