I addressed that. What people consider that threshold varies around the world. Not every culture is like yours. You're trying to discredit me because you didn't like being proven wrong. I don't even see why we're arguing this since regardless Fire Emblem even by you was proved to be a non-comparison to what is being proposed in this thread. Just us Game of Thrones or ancient cultures that allowed sibling incest like Ancient Egypt(for royal family at least).

I remember in Phantasy Star 3 (waaaaay back in the 90's and on the Sega Genesis), they did a generation mechanic (similar to Agarest Wars). And in one of the Generation Two scenarios, one of the PCs marriage options was his mother's cousin's daughter. And I remember wondering at the time if the reason why people didn't it was a big deal was either a cultural thing or because people just didn't put two and two together and recognize that those characters were second cousins.  We can't fuck a krogan in the trilogy and I seriously doubt we can fuck a krogan in Andromeda.
The various situations you describe aren't really comparable to each other. I wouldn't mind incest being present in a medieval based game as either in the background or as an option (I wouldn't pursue it, but I wouldn't mind the presence), but Mass Effect's story is based on ours and incest is mostly forbidden in most societies, so I wouldn't see how it'd become acceptable in the future.

I do wonder if inter species relationships might be look upon on a more negative way in Andromeda by some, based on the survival situation.


They've been unclear, but there's certainly customization. 

When did they say incest is wrong because of religion? A person can be against it, for whatever reason, not only. As there are people against gays, lesbian, transgenders, etc. for other reason then religion.

But what if they are both men and monster hunters, for example?

do you think it should be illegal for two people with achondroplasia to have sex?  or anyone else who could produce a child with genetic defects?  incest is icky because of religion.  let's not pretend otherwise.  

i've never been able to react viscerally to things that don't concern me.  just never could.  i don't care what two consenting adults do. none of my business and not my place to judge.
